Long story but it’s interesting. So…. I just got into a family tizzy. I have 3 sisters and they are all liberal. A couple months ago, when ICE was in NOLA, my brother in law had to travel from St. Augustine to NOLA and he is Honduran. My sister was very upset because she thought he was at risk but he’s legal and served in the Navy. He is one of the nicest guys on the planet and I absolutely adore him (probably more than my sister). My sister freaked out and said, “What if he gets pulled over and deported?!?!?” I told my sister she was overreacting and of course, victimhood was on the table. In that conversation I told her ICE was necessary, he will be fine, I’m 25 minutes from NOLA, just call me. We also discussed what was going on in MN because the Nick Shirley videos had just come out and I said any immigrant, legal or not, that defrauds the government needs to be deported. Then we discussed radical Islam and I said it wasn’t compatible with Western Culture and values. Now about today…. In the last 4-6 weeks, my sister has told EVERYONE that I hate black and brown people in the US and they do not have a place in America. I feel like liberals interpret things completely upside down. It’s not at all what I said. Everyone, even the liberals in my family, told her that didn’t sound like something I would ever say BECAUSE I DIDN’T. We were supposed to hang out next week but she just dropped this bombshell. I’m so angry and hurt. The party was supposed to be at my house with all of my sister’s in laws but she told them the same BS. Now I don’t want anyone over. My family thinks I should apologize to her because I told her to F off and canceled the party. I don’t care. I value my peace. I always have to tiptoe around ignoramuses and their “feelings”. She lied about what I said and questioned my character. What would you do?
