Her: I want to give them stuff they can use. Me: Beyond "coupon for a free dress," I have no idea what most of that stuff is. And what the heck is a "proposal box" for bridesmaids? Don't you pick your bridesmaids *after* the proposal? You can "OK Boomer" me all you want, but I'm just going to say it: Overall, weddings were better in my day (and they were probably even better before that) because they were simpler. I said what I said.😊

It is heartbreaking what sin - and the toleration of even a little bit of it - does to people. You can't just tie sin up with what you think are strong ropes. You have to kill it. This was only a matter of time.

Breaking: Sam Allberry has resigned as pastor after revealing he'd been involved in an "innapropriate relationship" with another man several years ago. Notably, Sam was one of the architects for the acceptance of Same-Sex Attraction Christianity (SSAC) whose false beliefs include: -Same-sex attraction is never a result of early childhood abuse and is always unchosen. Same-sex attraction only becomes sin if it is acted upon. -Homosexual acts are no different than other sins. -Christian regeneration has no influence over same-sex desire. -The church is guilty of oppressing this group instead of helping them bear their cross of unchangeable same-sex attraction

@JesusIsGod_7 😀Lol, it's not "Cher" like the singer, it's cher (and you barely touch the "r" at the end). It's Cajun, and it comes from the French mon cher / ma chère. It's basically like calling somebody "hon" or "my dear".

@GinaCook_narrow 😂 I have visited Kansas a couple of times. I can picture that. I can also picture them finding my body after a week of wandering around in a wheat field looking for somebody from whom to ask directions.

No. I've memorized so many big chunks of Scripture that I don't have time to rehearse them, so I don't retain them. I've had to come to terms with that. I try to look at it as a way to study and meditate on the passage *while* I'm in the process of memorizing it rather than expecting to retain it. I'm working on Matthew 7 right now since it's part of the Sermon on the Mount. This is now the third time I'll be memorizing Matthew 7. I can tell you the gist of each verse, but I can't recite it word for word.

I'm memorizing the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) right now. Today, my pastor started preaching through the Sermon on the Plain (Luke 6:20ff). It was AMAZING to hear the Beatitudes from Matthew in my head while hearing them from Luke with my ears.♥️ MEMORIZE SCRIPTURE.🙌
