With consent we’d like to share this @thecsp physio’s experience, to highlight the ongoing issues with racial profiling and institutional racism in the UK. This is unacceptable. For those who question how real racism is in this country please read and reflect.

During the first world war, ergotherapy was used with the aim of reconnecting patients with their environment, society, and self. Could it be a useful approach for those whose mental health has been affected by covid-19? #ChristmasBMJ

Any Derby / Nottingham based OTs that would be willing to help a desperate student with an elective placement 2nd Nov - 18th Dec? I'd already paid for accommodation before one option got cancelled 🥴 any RTs would be so appreciated 💚#OccupationalTherapy

Truly shocking story that highlights our lack of understanding on so many levels. Let’s start with the reasons why we see so many young black men in prison in the first place & act rather than allow this to be a pathway to justify unacceptable deportation theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/j…

@DLafayette411 I will never forget being accused of submitting an essay written by someone else because it was too good. Only black person on my course. Luckily I had kept my written notes (pre laptops). I still feel angry but didn't want to be the angry black women

#BlackOTProblems - Your prof competence is questioned by White peers/educators...
"You speak so well, given that English is your 2nd language." (It's not)
"Interesting work. Have you read the plagarism policy?"
"You're a type A personality, OTs are more type B."

What is wrong with this government? Look at the racist visual messaging in the clip. Yes, I know you want a hostile environment for people like me.

Who do we consider to be an "expert"? The person who's been researching the area for a decade or the one who's been living with it?
If your expert doesn't have reach into the community, are they really best placed to help?
