Today is the #InternationalDayofDance, and we’re celebrating how movement can bring people together and support better health. At the #NIHRBRCLeicester's Dance and Health sessions, women from underrepresented communities can come together to dance (often Bollywood style) and then take part in relaxed health research discussions with a researcher. Participants have built friendships, grown in confidence, and are now helping shape research that reflects their experiences. The NIHR has published an intention to fund notice for NIHR Biomedical Research Centres (BRCs). The intention is to launch a new, open competition for early phase translational research infrastructure later this year. Eligible NHS organisations in England may submit one application for funding over five years from 1 April 2028 to 31 March 2033.
