One of the hardest challenges I'm facing as a head right now is watching amazing and brilliant staff pushed to the edge because they are plugging gaps alongside their jobs. Because they truly care and are amazing people and want the best but it comes at their own expense.

Bloom's famous 1984 paper on the 2 sigma tutoring effect has justified huge spending on human tutors & massively influenced modern ed tech. I've just been on Times Radio talking about the govt's curriculum review. - really good Progress 8 is staying the same and coursework isn't coming back! - teaching to spot misinformation - this is a great aim but we know how hard it is to teach critical thinking in the abstract - need to see what the programmes of study will look like.
