Someone posted this on Facebook...so true! Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table At which he's fed. Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts Anyway! Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he Tries to think. Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax his ass. Tax all he has Then let him know That you won't be done Till he has no dough. When he screams and hollers; Then tax him some more, Tax him till He's good and sore. Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he's laid. When he's gone, Do not relax, It's time to apply The inheritance tax. Accounts Receivable Tax Airline surcharge tax Airline Fuel Tax Airport Maintenance Tax Building Permit Tax Cigarette Tax Cooking Tax Corporate Income Tax Goods and Services Tax (GST) Death Tax Driving Permit Tax Environmental Tax (Fee) Excise Taxes Income Tax Fishing License Tax Food License Tax Petrol Tax (too much per litre) Gross Receipts Tax Health Tax Heating Tax Inheritance Tax Interest Tax Lighting Tax Liquor Tax Luxury Taxes Marriage License Tax Mortgage Tax Pension Tax Personal Income Tax Property Tax Poverty Tax Real Estate Tax Retail Sales Tax Service Charge Tax Telephone Tax Value Added Tax Vehicle License Registration Tax Vehicle Sales Tax Water Tax Tax (VAT) on Tax. And Now they want a blooming Carbon Tax! STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY? Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was one of the most prosperous in the world... We had absolutely no national debt, had a large middle class,a huge manufacturing base, and Mum stayed home to raise the kids. What in the happened? Could it be the lying parasitic politicians wasting our money? Oh, and don't forget the relatively new bank charges.... And we all know what we think of Bankers. I hope this goes around the UK at least 1,000,000,000 times!!! YOU can help it get there!

On Big Carl Leaburn’s birthday, a reminder of him winning a massive Rumbelows telly as a MOTM award in the 90s, then wheeling it out of the store himself. Iconic.

@joelrossradio Absolute legend, great memories of listening to his phone in show. He was also great when he did the football show, think he took over from James H Reeve to do it now and again.

Don’t say it lightly. The BEST phone in guy ever. I joined Key 103 in 2000 “Baby, they are all Cheshire wankers, wouldn’t know Moss Side from Knutsford” loved 3 pints before, during and after. I was so happy when I listened to JS with someone out of the area. Simply the very best

@StreetwisestuV2 R.I.P James Stannage. Legendary phone in show. Does anyone remember the guy who would phone in with bizarre stories, think he was called Mike, would always start with the drawl, "Good evening James."

Another memory from my childhood now gone. What a time to be a United fan aged 13(ish) listening to James Stannage on Piccadilly radio. The bank holiday shows with “Tremendous Knowledge” Dave (regular in the Garret)was also a highlight as Dave answered question after question

Sad to hear about James Stannage. Loved everything about Piccadilly Radio growing up. A genuine institution for Greater Manchester and always gutted when one of them passes.

Sad to hear of the passing of James Stannage. His rant laden late night phone-in show was stuff of Manchester legend, and notoriety. He had a few cranks and 'sad old donkeys' who were regular callers, particularly Paul Nolan who was weirdly a City/Leeds/Arsenal fan. RIP James

That’s right. You won’t win, because you are the hate - but you’re blind to it. Today you marched against ordinary British people, who love their country and simply don’t want to become a minority in their own country. You showed divisiveness, hate and despair as you labelled these people “far right racists”, because they don’t agree with your extreme ideas of open borders, mass immigration. Simply put, you hate Great Britain and the British people.

This whole saga reeks of corporate pressure. No chairman voluntarily apologises for something this trivial unless sponsors are in his ear. The club did nothing wrong. Inviting Nigel Farage to a football stadium isn’t controversial, it’s normal. Apologising for it sets a terrible precedent.

No to Nigel Farage. No to intolerance, bigotry and hatred — and no to Reform’s Trumpian poison. All in Sunderland’s hands. Let’s hope they see sense and do the right thing. There should be ZERO association with that man at our club. #SAFC
