@susie_dent I wish there was word for when something is added to a list of available wi-fis or Bluetooth devices from the top so they all move down, just as you are going to click, so that you accidentally try to connect your phone to your neighbours wi-fi or laptop.

A question: what are the things you wish there was a word for? And have you come up with your own word to fill that gap?

@DrHelenFry Along with a number of other industries, soft drinks were 'pooled' (all brands replaced with an industry brand) to save resources. However, when US servicemen and women began arriving, a deal was made so that Coca-Cola could open a factory producing Coke, to uphold US morale

What's an interesting World War Two fact you know, that nobody else in the comments below would've written?

Going through my research for a presentation and came across this. Not sure how they got the figures, but I wonder if this was the first time the figure of 10k steps was used as a measure of walking in a day, though it isn't given as a target? #SWWad

WW2 Pod: We Have Ways of Making You Talk
How important was the idea of 'Britain Alone' to national morale in 1940? Did the largest empire in world history truly feel, alone?

SOE agent Violette Szabo wed Étienne Szabo just five weeks after their first meeting. Étienne’s death at El Alamein spurred Violette to join the SOE’s ‘F’ Section.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 I 'write'. I compose either academic work or fiction, there's very little chance that I will ever put the latter on paper, but focusing on one thing cuts out the racing thoughts and relaxes me.

According to this link, 7 of my books have been stolen by Meta for their AI database. In 1842 my greatx3 grandfather called for an International Copyright Law to prevent his works being pirated. Now we have that law, yet once again authors are experiencing theft. @Soc_of_Authors
Liz Filleul@lizfilleul

Any writers who haven’t already done so should check the Atlantic’s database of authors whose work has been used without permission by Meta to train its AI. I found two of my short stories have been used. theatlantic.com/technology/arc…
