@itvtynetees Amy Lea - that was the most one-sided interview I’ve seen. You bombarded those two gentlemen with questions but hardly allowed them a word in edgeways. If you’re going to interview someone give them some space to reply. It was all very rushed.

@pavyg @BBCSport @Wimbledon @geniebouchard @Jodurie ‘had great knowledge, insights and was concise, clear and articulate’ and has been for years. So why is @bbctennis off-loading Durie? What has @geniebouchard got that great British commentators like Jo Durie haven’t? Is the @BBC institutionally ageist?
#Wimbledon
English

Two surprises of @BBCSport coverage of @Wimbledon was how good @geniebouchard was; she had great knowledge, insights and was concise, clear and articulate; and how bad Agassi was, monotonous, waffling with word salad after word salad. 🤦🏽
Good going Genie, absolute natural. 👏

@RobboUnited77 @Hanlo86 @UtdBeforFergie Not when it mattered. And that 5-1 thrashing at Elland Road in February 1972 summed up the difference in class between the sides at that point.
English

@MickScanlon63 @Hanlo86 @UtdBeforFergie United won 7 games in that time, Leeds only won 4 more. So yes, United did win games against Leeds in those years 👍
English

It wasn't often that Sir Matt was guilty of misjudgement but did he drop the ball by letting Johnny Giles go to Leeds? #mufc

@Alberto74467980 @rodlaver Does Bjorn Borg ‘understand anything about tennis’? Federer? Djokovic and every other player who’s questioned the way Sinner’s been treated? You clearly think you’re the only one who understands anything about tennis you arrogant, blinkered twat.
Pavvy G@pavyg
Bjorn Borg found it very odd that from all the fitness trainers in the world, Sinner chose to go back with Umberto Ferrara, the very same person who he had sacked and had blamed for getting contaminated. Ferrara has been in Sinners box all of Wimbledon.
English

@MickScanlon63 @rodlaver It's obvious you don't understand anything about doping, and you don't understand anything about tennis either: you just don't get it! But like so many stupid people, you want everyone to know. 👍😂
English

@CharlesCra62772 @IamPuneetX How did he go from having the physique of Rodney Trotter to that of Clark Kent?
English

@IamPuneetX Imagine having a billionth of a gram of a banned substance in your blood accidentally and useless people on the Internet hating you for it
English

@campbellclaret Says one who was knee-deep in the circumstances surrounding David Kelly’s untimely and still controversial death.
English

This is worth a read if people genuinely care about the murder inquiry of Ann Widdecombe - as opposed to those who want to use for performative spectacle or to spread their conspiracy theories or both
Dennis Noel Kavanagh@Jebadoo2
1/ As someone who has been in a few murder trials let me just try to explain why the police always ask people not to speculate, (with the caveat that I understand everyone is justifiably angry, saddened and horrified). Murder investigations and trials are very fragile things.
English

@Jodurie Dutifully peddling the establishment line, Jo? Why is it that female players who fall foul of PE drugs laws are banned for years (their careers destroyed) but an exemption is made for Sinner? I’ve never known tennis to be so lacking in integrity and so corrupt.
#Wimbledon
English

@IamPuneetX Same here. I switched over after the penultimate point.
English

The truth of the matter is that no matter how great Sinner plays tennis and whatever he wins, he is forever stained by failing two doping tests and being protected by the establishment.
So many people won’t watch, can’t watch his matches.
I kept an eye hoping Zverev would beat him but no way I can watch the trophy ceremony
English

@aelliottdunn @davidkurten Wasn’t Gordon Brown all over the Madeleine McCann case? What was all that about?
English

@davidkurten And the Dunblane massacre. Lowe is right, it was a coverup. Gordon brown and his paedophile friends were all over that and Tony Blair has always protected him.
Blair is the one I’d point a finger at.
English

@officialg_ray @janniksin Keep breaking the rules on doping?
English

@janniksin Keep breaking boundaries and winning milestones
English

@SanjayBDalal @janniksin Give over, there are players with considerably more style than Sinner. Players who don’t need to be indulging in excessive fist-pumping every time they win a point, players who just get on with the game without all of Sinner’s gesticulations to his box.
English

@janniksin Congrats Jannik Sinner on defending your Wimbledon championship title with such style and determination 🏆 This is such a rarity nowadays. Well done indeed…
English

@janniksin 2nd consecutive Wimbledon title.
Won with talent, hard work, character, and a mental strength that is unmatched today.
Absolute Italian pride.

@BarclayCard18 Unfortunately, Zverev was playing not just against Sinner but the imposing people in Sinner’s box and the possible help of a pharmacist. Zverev didn’t stand a chance - very few players do - against the intimidating dynamic that Sinner and his box establish during a match.

English

@pavyg @Wimbledon The Billie Jean King show back in town and all her sycophantic worshippers like Clare Balding. King still hogs the limelight. I saw her as an intimidating player and individual and that comes across (briefly) in the new film about Evonne Goolagong. It’s all one big clique.
English

@GrahamWilde6 @UtdBeforFergie Dunphy’s book shatters so many myths about Matt Busby and the culture at Manchester United in the years after Munich. He suggests that not much changed even when the team was doing well in the period 1963-68, that they did well despite the underlying problems that JG left behind.
English

@MickScanlon63 @UtdBeforFergie Yes, the detail in Dunphy's book about John was exceptional. You can tell it came straight out of Giles's mouth.
