Sunday morning film for me. Hitchcock again although this time one I've never ever seen before which is pretty unusual. My ★★★★ review of Sabotage (1936) on @letterboxd: boxd.it/12vYZ7

Kettering Borough Council’s webpage tells you what is changing, how you can get help, and also how you can help others. It will be updated every day as things change and as government advice changes. kettering.gov.uk/coronavirus

@_LisaCherry @BeccaDove2 @IanAnde02646868 @ClarePavitt1 @paddersboy Yes I’d like to know if once you’ve got over it does that make you immune and more importantly, stop you being a carrier?
English

@MickScrimshaw @BeccaDove2 @IanAnde02646868 @ClarePavitt1 @paddersboy Well.... I have a little time on my hands ;) so if you need me, let me know,. Although I haven't had the virus and I think that is necessary for immunity? There's so much we don't know but I know a bloody lot more about viruses than a did a few weeks ago!

@_LisaCherry @BeccaDove2 @IanAnde02646868 @ClarePavitt1 @paddersboy NCC are apparently having an emergency meeting this week and hopefully an official response and guidance will follow but I agree the community and individual’s response will probably be the answer
English

@BeccaDove2 It is very good to see. I have messaged @IanAnde02646868 @MickScrimshaw @ClarePavitt1 @paddersboy to get a measure on how things are shaping up in sunny Northamptonshire! The response, with proper guidelines, will undoubtedly be led from the community.

Oh bugger off. Why should Uk taxpayer bail out Billionaires? They can do that themselves. Tax payer needs to bail out the poor, the starving, the ill and the disabled that are most effected by this virus.

@NorthantsCodger @Cllr_Victoria @JamesHakewill As the Labour Chair of NCC’s Scruinty I work closely with @Cllr_Victora (CON) who is a vice-chair and also @JamesHakewill (IND). I have respect for both, and both are very hard working councillors. I wish you both well.
English

@Cllr_Victoria Hi, hope you're keeping well. Got a visiting card from you and a couple of your cohorts. Never heard of Cliff or James. @JamesHakewill seems to be the most active in Rothwell and surrounding areas. Seen you commenting on social media but that's about it.

The Lab group say they will not oppose a commissioner-led budget but they also will not support it. They feel there is now no choice. @MickScrimshaw making a very reflective and thoughtful speech which is worth listening to if people can’t view live.

Ernst & Young wants to have a closer look at the county council's spend on unitary preparations. Says there is a significant risk it could not provide value for money.
Northants Telegraph@NTelegraph
English

@Craig_Lewis77 Kettering haven’t had a nomination meeting, I think mainly because of time pressures because of all the local work regarding unitary elections and also doesn’t seem to be a desire to have one as members will vote who they wish for regardless
English

@chrisweavers We haven’t had one, most couldn’t see the point. We’ll all vote for who we want to anyway.
English

@jaco45er Lots of thoughts some of which I was able to raise with cabinet before they took the decision. Real shame it was decided to have that discussion and decision in private.
English

@AnaKellar Yes, decision taken in private at the end of cabinet meeting. I questioned procurement procedure and why only 2 companies budded and why big players in sector didn’t along with previous questions and concerns

@MickScrimshaw @MattGolby @Corbychris The findings of the committee can be found in this story by my colleague @LocalDemSarah, but effectively found a lack of monitoring. northamptonchron.co.uk/news/politics/…
English

@LocalDemSarah @AlisonBagley1 It’s bad enough the County Council are forcing voluntary groups to run their libraries. At the very least they should support them by offering to rent the buildings at a peppercorn rent enabling the building to stay in public ownership and helping the business plan of the groups
English

Thrapston town council's plans to buy its library have ended after it failed to reach agreement with Northamptonshire County Council. But as Thrapston is one of the five statutory community managed libraries a service will still continue. Story by @AlisonBagley1

Thrapston town council will not buy the library from the county council because its was not a 'good deal' 📚📄💷 northantstelegraph.co.uk/news/people/th…
