Just heard a quiz on ABC Radio. Question: 'Name the movie that won Best Film at the Oscars this week'. Caller: 'Was it The Moodys?' Host: 'What?' Caller: 'The Moodys Did Christmas'. Please tell me if this was a pisstake, but I don't think it was.

Calling it early. With the runs of possession and point-scoring sprees in 2026, this could well be the year a team concedes 50 and wins the premiership. We don’t need to put lines through teams any more. #NRL

@NRL If you’re trying to sell tickets, wouldn’t it be better to use the time zone of where the game is played and that of both teams?

Check out DDottin's dismissal obstructing the field overnight at around 11:40. Wondering if the first contact with the bat was enough to send her, or did it take catching the ball to seal her fate? youtube.com/watch?v=LzwOEm…

@brydoncoverdale I agree: no different to the batter intercepting the ball with their bat when a fielder is trying to run them out..

@PaulDennett_ But I also agree with a rule change. Id be happy with “control of the ball” before it hits the ground (which he had) and “control of the body” relating to the boundary - ie if he caught the ball and slid/run over the boundary, then 6.

@PaulDennett_ If I was a batsman, I’d just keep running til I was given out. Make the umpire make a decision!

Come on NYT this is ‘umpiring considerations for an lbw appeal’ and don’t try to tell me it’s not.

For the first time since 1887/88, Australia has not picked a frontline spinner at the SCG Test. The Australian bowling line up then was Charles Turner, JJ Ferris, Tom Garrett and Patrick McShane.
