@noradrenalain This is an extremely weird basis on which to render a judgment of “bitchass useless”.

@elizabethbelsky I never bring my dog into any restaurants, but I would say being a kind, warm presence includes a tactful tolerance of the weird dog stuff people do unless it’s truly out of pocket. Which is a higher threshold than you or OP are arguing for!

Or don't do all that, even, if you don't like kids! But the point is, we are all literally just humans in a world that is trending in an evermore callous direction and it's so easy to just be a kind, warm presence no matter what's going on in your life.

Fun fact: children are young humans who are in the process of learning how to be adult humans and exist in the human world! Dogs, on the other hand, will never be humans and therefore do not need to experience "going inside a coffee shop" at any point in their canine lives.
Kylie Jean-Bryn@chokeyourself__

also btw I don’t think you have to bring your snotty, screaming crotch gremlin to the coffee shop and let it cough and scream while it shits up it's back and fills the diaper with piss around where people are eating and drinking. I think you can just like. have coffee at home

@Kip_JD @captgouda24 This is relatively routine, but because he doesn’t actually understand medicine he doesn’t understand that a doctor requesting an overnight stay for monitoring likely has a good-faith reason for doing so that it would be ghoulish and trust-undermining to deny

It isn’t! In patient care after routine surgery is generally not medically necessary, and *any* medical system which does its job and looks out for everyone would deny it.
Ashley@93xashley

My insurance company denied coverage for my son’s overnight hospital stay after he had a tumor removed from his chest and a port placed. His surgeon had to file an appeal because apparently that wasn’t considered medically necessary. But ya insurance companies rock

One of my best friends @Microelastics once told me: if you want to get rich and famous, just become a conservative, or a Zionist. Because their level of STUPIDITY is off the charts!!! The idiot below re-tweeted this obvious fake 10X because he thought it served his narrative:

@tobiaschneider She calls it "meaningless." But the humor isn't in the "reference"! The humor and sadness is that Hitler was better at romance - more lovable, more capable of love - than he is. It's horrible and biting. Not a reference.

@captgouda24 @Kyru117 @frogs4girls Yeah but the abstract specifically says that the authors recommend a public insurance system as a way to counteract this, which is what everyone knows needs to happen if healthcare isn’t going to experience a full-on collapse in the next 1-2 decades.

anna !!! :)) 🇵🇸🌸✨🌸🇵🇸
haha yea that’s why all those other countries with public healthcare have such high prices!! right? luckily we have our insurance companies to bring our prices down haha surely we must have the cheapest healthcare in the world!!
Nicholas Decker@captgouda24

@lepiofthevalley So you know how unions hold up wages by collectively bargaining? Health insurance companies do that too. They're a union for you, the customer. They hold down your prices by collectively bargaining.

@aryehazan “Hater” has meant that for quite a long time, especially online. Regardless, the latter part of that post stands - people with your perspective on immigration are my political opponents. Cheers.

"I am more ok with letting in people more like me and less ok with letting in people less like me" why is this an illegitimate stance? explain it to me like I'm 5 it's the basis of Israel's Law of Return and I'll fight tooth and nail to keep it that way
Aryeh Kontorovich@aryehazan

@kiddkosher1 @xwanyex well ofc they don't it's an idiotic point entirely on its own terms I am allowed to have opinions on who I want mass-imported into my country and these opinions don't have to be based on "history" -- they can be ignorant or bigoted or whatever other whim I choose

@Rflohv2 @Microelastics @JeffreyASachs and the person you’re responding to is excusing nazism because when you really think about it, the jews deserve it. he, too, is a nazi, merely a more clever one.

It wasn’t too long ago that I was solemnly told not criticize Abulhawa because she has been through so much and her antisemitism, while regrettable, was also understandable and should be ruefully indulged.
susan abulhawa | سوزان ابو الهوى@susanabulhawa

The way zios keep boasting about the extraordinary power they wield reminds me of how they also boasted and took credit for Germany’s defeat in the First World War that culminated in the Treaty of Versailles and led to the rise of extreme anti-Jewish sentiment. History will rhyme.

Women’s rights are not just freedom from restrictions traditionally imposed by religious authorities. Women’s rights are secured by creating a society so safe and prosperous such that the rights of the weak are not taken by the strong. Every civil right in this country was granted by high minded White men to us. Otherwise they could have just ignored our pleas. Look at Afghanistan.

Americans are used to taking the current state of society as granted, it’s exceedingly rare to find one sober and educated enough to understand basic realities like the one she described.

The West is on fire. It’s on the verge of becoming Islamized, socialist, and Marxist, yet some people still think they can afford to obsess over Israel. If your own house were on fire, but instead of calling the fire department or getting your family out you were standing in the street screaming about your neighbor’s leaking roof, people would think you’d lost your mind. Yet these people become podcasters, talk show hosts, and “influencers.” Dark times ahead.
