Praying for his family. I hope he believed in Jesus. He is such a wonderful actor. He's in such great movies. Loved him in Jurassic Park. He's one of the reasons I watched the 2008- 09 Crusoe show. Rams & Escape Plan are must see movies. He's phenomenal in Untamed too.

Ladies, we have GOT to be writing some nonfeminist, enjoyable, clean fiction. I am so tired of the life-victim woman trope that has cropped up in clean romcoms these days.

@BooksTiffany Now that I think about it the female characters are also both full of flaws, but super confident, until the plot needs her to be unconfident. It's like, "Which is it?" It's like writers have forgotten how to write real people but instead want to be "relevant".

I don't mean to sound corny, but I'm sincerely blown away by the mutuals I interact with on here. They are some of the most genuine, positive, & kind-hearted people I've ever interacted with. I have no clue how I've managed to bamboozle you all into befriending me.

@BooksTiffany That sounds so annoying, I would have given up too. That's so unrealistic it should have been a fantasy. The last clean romance I read the MFC was so annoying, she was what I described above & add she can't speak up for herself & she was not bright, it was insulting honestly.

Yes! 😂 I just finally gave up on one book today. It could have been decent, but it kept going back to the plight of female football players. Well no, women football players are not going to make the same money as men- because it's stupid and no one wants to watch it. Come on. Fine if they want to have a hobby and the writer wants to draw attention to that. But do not expect a reader to plow through how hard and unjust it is. 🤦‍♀️

So, he's rewriting history. That's what hes doing. Why bother adapting Homer's work then? It's no longer The Odyssey. It's "inspired" by. Can we fast forward past this discusting trend of taking someone elses work & twisting it so much that it's not even close to the work?

@SojuConnoisseur @BloatMcQueen I'm not a fan of Raiders either, Last Crusade is my favorite of the Indiana Jones movies. I grew up watching those, (not Temple of Doom, still havent seen all of it). Love Pirates of the Caribbean, still remember seeing it in theaters. Still a phenomenal movie.

Probably a bad time to say that I didn't see Raiders until I was in college and I *hated* it. Had to ask my friend afterwards "you really like that? You weren't just pranking me?" Maybe I should give it another shot sometime. But I do agree about Pirates 1 - just a solid and fun adventure story that tickles the imagination.

I think in 20 years we'll be talking about this movie the same way we do Raiders of the Lost Ark now. It's that good.

I'm reading the book "Song of Songs", Pastor Levi Lusko recently did a series on it. I will be listening to his series & posting it here in this thread, so if anyone else is interested can listen too. He is a Pastor I really like & need to get back to listening to.

@SatoshiCryptic Thats so awesome the i ventor of roller blades is from MN. Same. We didn't know how great we had it. I still remember thinking how awesome it would be to be an adult & go to those places whenever with friends. Only to grow up & relize most pf those places are gone now.

@MiddleEarthElf4 I was a huge rollerblader when I was a kid! The guy who invented roller blades is actually from MN 😎 Agreed! The untapped market for 80's and 90's experiences is mind boggling. I miss blockbuster, arcades and cd players 😂

@SatoshiCryptic I love swimming. I need to go biking again, it has been way too long. And roller blading. I miss going to a skate place when I was in middle school. The 80s & 90s needs to come back, we had so many cool places to hang out. Lazer tag too! Lol.
