I'm bored tonight so I asked AI to do its best and compare patronage public transport patronage across different cities/metros. Some of these numbers are probably slightly off but the best I managed to get them with some fine-tuning and with the limitations of AI.

@aussiewongm @Anneeokeefe Yeah I guess slight clarification on my previous comment, the Bendigo/Ballarat/Geelong lines aren't ARTC track but they use the same communication system as ARTC. Whereas NSW electric intercity trains use the same comms system as Sydney metropolitan services.

The Harold Park development in Glebe is an example of great urban development. Plenty of parklands, good transport links and shops and other amenities within easy walking distance. Even Tramsheds was looking more lively than it has in the past.

If the Victorian government had any appetite for communicating and promoting public transport in an innovative way (they don't) I would re-badge Melton services from V/Line to a pseudo-Metro brand after the introduction of 9-car Vlocitys and new Melton station.
