let’s talk phigures figures with style? or is there something deeper to the name? honestly both feel right but let’s get into it phigures is a collection of 469 generative figures built and rendered entirely on ethereum. created by @gruffwashere the project sits at the intersection of generative art and blockchain-native ownership mechanics with no ipfs, no off-chain servers. the renderer lives directly in contract storage, meaning every figure is pulled from the chain and rendered in your browser on demand. as permanent as the chain itself. the central idea every phigure is a wallet portrait. when you mint, your wallet address and token id are hashed together to produce the figure. that hash splits into two streams: a static one that seals the body forever, and a dynamic one that re-derives from whoever currently holds the token. the body is identity, the surface is season which simply means even when owners change, bodies don’t. six axes, one figure each phigure is shaped across six axes: three permanent, three mutable. static (sealed at mint): pose, ribbon & eye, background. dynamic (re-stamps on every transfer): palette & hue, fill mode, colour count. same body. completely different feel depending on who holds it. grails grails are tokens where multiple rare axes align at once. four rare render modes exist: skeleton, mono, scatter, inverted. each appearing roughly 1% of the time, combining to ~4% overall. across 469 tokens that’s roughly 15% overall that rarity is sealed at mint and cannot be transferred away. the generate page two tools before you commit: a random roll giving an unlimited previews using the live mint algorithm, hd download, palette cycling and a re stamp simulator where you paste a token id and your wallet to see exactly what surface you’d get before buying on secondary. i had to generate mine too - roll and that’s what i got below. mint two phases: presale (allowlist) then public open mint. supply fixed at 469. blind reveal nobody knows what a phigure looks like until the wallet commits. the code doesn’t lie and neither does the chain. what you mint is yours forever and the surface just dresses itself to whoever’s holding it.
