Very fortunate to have been apart of this year's Arctic Soils field trip. Many firsts on this trip including seeing Histels, musk ox, and walking on a glacier! Many thanks to Chelsea Duball, Jaclyn Fiola, and Sasha Kholodov for making this an experience of a lifetime!!

While some tidal marshes may look the same on the surface, they can be polar opposites underground. Pictured- marshes on either side of a barrier island lagoon. They have different soils and contain very different amounts of carbon!
