A note on the first amendment: it protects your freedom of speech in the context of legal punishment. It does not mean you say or do what you want without consequences from other citizens

Inflation is completely out of control, you can’t even take 3 kids to a Detroit Tigers game anymore without spending an arm and a leg! Crazy!

Nothing more embarrassing than referring to people as the “proletariat or bourgeoisie” and not doing it ironically

This guy instant blocked me (an obvious sign of a good faith argument) But Actually, if the business didn’t exist then the consumer would not have a product to buy, and money would not be exchanged in order to create a salary for the employee. Economics isn’t zero sums

@commie_trucker Actually the money paid from your employer pays the family. Quit your job, go out on the street, perform your labor, and see what the income is like

Ah yes because the guy who hasn't won a Stanley Cup is certainly going to sign with a team that hasn't won a playoff series in 8 years and has a below-average pool of young talent once their old guard hangs 'em up. We really gotta be realistic here

“Relative poverty” wasn’t invented by socialists but developed by mainstream economists because absolute measures kept missing real deprivation in wealthy societies. A person who can’t afford healthcare or housing in the richest country in history isn’t “not poor” just because they have running water. Also: poverty reduction happened through labor movements, welfare states, and public infrastructure, most of which were built against capital’s resistance, not because of its generosity. Taking credit for everything good that happened under capitalism while ignoring everything bad is a mascot speech.

Capitalism has proved so successful at reducing poverty that socialists had to create the concept of “relative poverty” to keep themselves in business.

97% of U.S. hospital markets are now uncompetitive under federal antitrust guidelines. We no longer have free markets, but a patchwork of local monopolies, and we're paying for it in our premiums. My new piece in @RCPolicy on the hospital monopoly tax: realclearhealth.com/articles/2026/… @C4AHC

Poni Prediction: This thing is coming back to Pittsburgh for a game 7. Flyers will resort to their barbaric ways. Pens won’t fall for it. Crosby Sucks chants will prove futile. Discipline. Structure. Victory. Final: Penguins 2 Flyers 1

As gerrymandering gets more aggressive, Democrats may lose some in the PR war. Their maps often look worse, even though the underlying manipulation is the same.

You'll hear a lot about the Supreme Court "gutting" the Voting Rights Act. Does that mean black people can't vote anymore? Sure sounds like it. No! The Voting Rights Act has been interpreted as requiring that you racial gerrymander districts so blacks can have their "own" majorities. It requires government to treat citizens not as individuals, but as members of castes with collective rights, rather than individual rights. This is antithetical to democracy and American values. It has no basis in the Constitution. This needed to be "gutted." A great day for our democracy.
