We need to talk about the expectations Hoyo builds up vs the reality. It's perfectly fine to feel upset after an expectation wasn't met when you've believed it for years due to presentation. -Columbina being dangerous - Pulonia - Alice in 6.X (And if you've played early enough) - Lyney and Lynette being the first duo character While it is wrong to believe unconfirmed info as a fact, it is not wrong to feel misled when the information was presented in such a way that leaves little to no room for misinterpretation.

idk why people think this is lazy when its a clear parallel between the two puppet characters in their games you know its the exact same amount of money to "trace" a face and draw a whole new pose around it than it would be if they made the face point another way?

I genuinely could never be mad at stuff like this my friends who are less financially capable can enjoy the same story on their old outdated laptops or phones with playable framerate accessibility in non-prerendered cutscenes *is* incredibly cool I wish people had brains

Another character like Dori or Kaveh who doesn't hold their weapon? Awesome. Another charge attack catalyst? Very cool. People throw around complaints like laziness or budget, when it's these things that make Genshin a much more comprehensible and clear game than any competitor.

Those animations mean something. Similarities between Skirk and Childe or Ayaka and Ayato or Durin and Albedo. This is really no different. Mona Dash and Ayaka Dash being similar is genuinely cool, rather than locking it behind one character.

It makes me so exceptionally happy that every Genshin character has some rhyme within the rest of Genshin's mechanical identity, and isn't a mass of flashy nonsense animations. Every character is their own spin on something we've seen before within the weapon categories.
