So then who's working to solve inflation? If no one is working on solving the root problem then what? Also given a best case scenario, how long would it take for a "we fixed the inflation problem" scenario to trickle down to some saying, hey look my $7.25/hr job covers all my expenses!

@MikeBHoustonTX Because raising the minimum wage wouldn’t solve the problem. The problem is inflation of the U.S. dollar and moving manufacturing overseas. If you raise the minimum wage the dollar would just become more inflated without addressing the problem at all.

Why can't Republicans get behind the idea of raising the state minimum wages to a "living wage". I don't claim to know what that wage should be, but I feel like an entry level job should afford someone a cheap studio apartment and basic necessities. Can you step out of "group think" and give me some reasons why?
