Miami is both booming and decaying. Cranes everywhere. New towers every month. Money flooding in. Thays a boom, right? Now walk into any "world class" hotel or hyped restaurant. Service is mid. Menu is forgettable. Energy is off. And it's not the staff's fault. These people are commuting 90 minutes each way because they got priced out of every neighborhood within 30 miles. Working doubles just to split a studio with two roommates. And we expect them to deliver a five star experience? Come on. And before someone says "just pay them more." I'm a small business owner. I'd love to. But SMBs are getting crushed too. The local consumer base is shrinking because the same people who would be our customers can't afford to spend. Oversaturation everywhere. More businesses chasing fewer dollars from people who have less of them every month. So the money flows up. Developers build. Landlords collect. Politicians celebrate the "growth." And the rest of us, workers and small business owners, are just grinding. The only locals making real money in Miami right now are politicians and landlords. Everyone else is just surviving the "boom." Eventually you look around and the city looks incredible but feels like nothing. Shiny lobbies. Dead energy. Premium prices for mediocre everything.

Did a trade-in estimate just for kicks. I can sell my Cybertruck AWD for more than I bought it (considering the federal tax credit)

I have a network of dealers that i trust and have transparent pricing with as well as strong faith the can deliver the type of client experience I demand. From there we deliver across the country. It reduces the number of variables in the process. I don’t want to deal with unknown quantities (I.e, new dealers and sales reps) unless I absolute have to for a specific unit

@MikeCalcara @NoLongerBennett I'll keep that in mind if I decide I want to buy new, thanks. I predict you'll be very successful if your sales model is a lot better than the one I'm familiar with. Do you network with guys with your sales model in other areas?

@NoLongerBennett @MikeCalcara The "dealership experience" helped me swear off new cars for good. If I ever got well off enough I decided I wanted to buy new, I'd find a broker.

A client came to me last month dead set on a Tesla Model Y. Before we pulled the trigger, I asked him a few questions. Where do you live? An apartment downtown. No dedicated charging spot. A couple of shared chargers in the garage that are almost always taken by the time he gets home at night. How long is your commute? About 180 miles round trip, 3 days a week. Do you take road trips? Every few months. About 400 miles each way to see family. Think about what that actually looks like day to day. He gets home after a long day, pulls into the garage, and the two shared chargers are taken. Again. So he goes to bed with whatever charge he has left. He wakes up, checks his range, and hopes it's enough for the day. No charging at work either. An EV works best when you're able to charge consistently. For him, it would've been a daily inconvenience at best and a stranded car at worst. He actually needed a plug-in hybrid. Electric for the short days, gas for the road trips. He ended up in a Toyota RAV4 Prime. Loves it. This happens a lot simply because people don't have the time to research different types of vehicles. So I put together a full breakdown that takes less than 5 minutes to read. Gas vs. Hybrid vs. Electric. With real numbers on fuel costs, maintenance, depreciation, and total cost of ownership across all three. Comment COMPARE below and I'll send it to you. Make sure you're following me so the DM goes through.

@NoLongerBennett Haha love it! It’s unreal the hoops they’ve created for customers. I try to make it as easy as possible for my clients. I work directly for them without any dealership compensation. Allows me to be brand agnostic and steer clients in the best direction

Why does every single thing at car dealers take five times as much time as it should? It’s like a time warp.

@irentdumpsters Sounds like a guy I know locally. Treats his own son like crap. Calls me asking for leads. WTF. Texted me the other day asking for good photos to put on his new pressure washing website. W…. T… F…

I had a guy who owns a pressure washing company that’s 65 years old and never got past $500,000 in revenue Tell me that I suck at doing business yesterday When I first spoke to this individual, he told me he's never had an employee last three months working with him and was proud of it WTF?

@MikeCalcara EVs have a pretty straightforward use case IMO. If you commute and you can charge at home, it's a no brainer. If you commute but you can only charge at work, maybe. If you can do neither, it's not worth the hassle to find and use public chargers, even if it's still cheaper.

@kylecordes @MikeCalcara Right. This is a head scratcher. Lives in an apartment downtown but drives 90 miles each way to work. I've known people that have done the "reverse commute" thing to live in the city, but this would be extreme.
