The "more votes then voters" claim is the perfect example of why election denying fan fiction writers were never serious in the first place. It's one of the oldest and easiest to debunk but it's been allowed to fester for years.
Pam Fessler@pamelafessler

One of the biggest lies being spread on social media is that there were more votes cast in 2020 than registered voters. THIS IS NOT TRUE. See below for easily verified facts.

This week, our elections team took part in @CISAgov's election security tabletop exercise with Homeland Security, election security partners and county election officials. Thanks to our election workers and partners, Nebraska's elections are secure and accurate at every level.

Given the total lack of accountability around *all* of the lying after 2020, this abrupt end feels especially shocking. Expecting a corporation to carry on a fight for accountability to the public is, in fairness, silly.

@mkolken @davidhogg111 At 21 injuries a month it will only take two years to equal injuries and deaths on the single night of the Las Vegas Shooting.

Stabbings have never been worse or more brutal, police say, as Australian hospitals struggle to cope with an emerging 'knife culture' amongst young men. The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne told Daily Mail Australia it had seen a 50 per cent spike in 'life threatening stab wounds' since December compared to the same period a year ago. On average 21 people, usually men aged between 25 and 40, were being admitted with serious stab wounds each month, it said. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

Gun laws don’t work? Why hasn’t Australia had a school shooting since 2012? How about the UK which was 1996? Last I checked they don’t have armed teachers in every school or allow guns on campus. Pretty sure they also have bad guys and doors and mentally ill people too.

There’s an important story to be told about how innocent public servants — whether librarians or election officials or nurses — are terrorized for doing their jobs.
Hannah Allam@HannahAllam

In this week’s @washingtonpost Must Reads newsletter (pls subscribe!), I got to talk about the reporting process for this book bans story. It was chilling to hear librarians ask for anonymity for security reasons and to see them break down in interviews washingtonpost.com/national-secur…

This is all so sad. So many people are so thoroughly convinced of a stolen election that never was. I'm under no illusion that anyone will change their tune. We seem to be hardwired to justify our positions no matter what. It would be nice to move on though.

Didn't see it happen. By the way I met someone at the tippy top of the Lake campaign last night. They were very complimentary, saying I was basically in the war room on election night. You're welcome. They also had no idea why the war room account goes after me the way it does.

*screams in magical ballot fairy* Unless you used glitter pen, grease pencil, or a red or non-photo blue colored pencil or marker, chances are pretty high that a tabulator can read the marks on your ballot w/o clogging up or jamming.

@CTIronman @ElectionBabe I think this is one of the problems, is when people say Civil War they think 1776 or 1861 so it seems improbable. But the Troubles is a better framework for understanding how bad things can get for a very long time in a modern conflict of this sort.

Some of you are a little too enthusiastic about any prospects of civil war in the US. We are damn lucky that although many of our politicians are dysfunctional, the bones of our system are good enough to hold things together for this long. Don’t take that for granted.
