@MikeDrinksLager If you want to grind your own meat, you cube your cut of meat and chill prior to putting it through the grinder. The grinder can only accommodate smaller pieces. The knife would be helpful in separating meat from hard fat and silver skin.

After cubing meat with a chef's knife, I'm in the market for a boning knife - any advice?
