All my life I've thought the phrase "to make ends meat" was about living on the cheapest cuts of beef/pork etc. I've only recently discovered that the phrase is actually " to make ends meet" and is possibly about rope? Still believe my original interpretation makes more sense.

Road trip to see @royalblooduk in Newcastle tonight, taking son to his first proper gig and what a belter. Always remember my first live show (Iron Maiden) with my mam & dad + meeting them afterwards . Might not have the backstage experience but am sure he’ll remember it forever
