COMING SOON: The Automated Ball-Strike Challenge System (ABS) presented by @TMobile will be used during Spring Training games for the first time ever.
ABS has been tested in the minor leagues since 2021, and 2025 will be the first test with the Major League players. About 60% of 2025 Spring Training games will be played using the ABS Challenge system.
The ABS system uses a set of cameras around the field to track the pitch location and allows players on the field to challenge an umpire’s ball-strike call.
ABS Challenge Rules:
- Each team starts the game with two challenges.
- Only the batter, the pitcher, or the catcher can challenge an umpire’s call.
- A challenge must be made immediately after the umpire’s call without assistance from the dugout or other players.
- A scoreboard graphic will show the location of the pitch and the result of the challenge.
- Successful challenges are retained – you only lose your challenge if the umpire’s call is confirmed.

@GarysheffieldJr Prefer Santana on a shorter deal and to give Rice another go. Trade for Correa. Move one of the starters and then also trade for Belli.

Beyond the things that need to be fixed on the field, there are many things the Yankee organization needs to work on to make the stadium experience better.
1. Fix the stadium entry. It is an utterly broken system with incompetent people doing the bare minimum to direct traffic into the stadium. It's an embarrassment and no other stadium is nearly as bad.
2. Not sure when this changed, but enough of blasting house/dubstep music in between pitches and during the entire game. It's a baseball game not a 2014 Tiesto concert. You don't need that much artificial noise or tacky guest DJs, the crowd is hype enough as it is.
3. Improve the concessions experience, you can't go get anything without missing a full inning at minimum. Hire more people, train them properly, and stop being cheap (this is probably a Legends issue)
4. Stop. Playing. New York, New York. After. Losses.
This was my 15th year as a season ticket holder and I've only been a season ticket holder in the new stadium. It's not nearly as enjoyable experience as it should be (from a pure fan experience) and the only redeeming thing about it (most of the time) is the baseball team itself. Yankee Stadium is only 15 years old but it's starting to feel like a dinosaur compared to what you see around the league.
