Our government is investing $10M in the modernization of Georgia-Pacific’s Englehart facility. This $191M project will protect over 220 forestry workers, increase production of Ontario wood products, and strengthen our forest sector.

Great to join my colleague, Minister @JillDunlop1, in Elmira this morning. Strong communities start with being prepared, and our government is investing in the safety and resilience of our communities through the Community Emergency Preparedness Grant.

Our government is taking action to reduce wait time for vulnerable sector police record checks, so people can access jobs and volunteer opportunities faster. These changes would allow police services to process vulnerable sector checks for applicants outside their jurisdiction.

Waterpower supplies a quarter of Ontario’s electricity, and it will be essential to meeting our long‑term energy needs. Great to join @ONWaterpower and speak with their 160 members about how we’re accelerating approvals to build and operate dams across the province.

This week I sent a letter to Minister @RobFlackEML outlining my concerns with the Region of Waterloo's water capacity issue. I've asked the Minister to explore all possible options to move things forward in a positive, collaborative way.

With Premier Ford it was great to join industry leaders at the Ontario Forest Industries Association’s 83rd Annual Convention this week. Yesterday, we launched a Roadmap to Protecting Ontario’s Forestry Sector, built in collaboration with key industry partners such as the OFIA.

Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Lakehead University with Minister Mike Harris. The innovation, technology, and talent coming from students and faculty are helping shape the future of our natural resources sector right here in Northwestern Ontario.

Forestry has long been a backbone of Ontario’s economy and communities. Today, @KevinHollandMPP and I announced the Roadmap to Protecting Ontario’s Forestry Sector—supporting jobs, adapting to markets, and growing demand for Ontario-made wood products.

Was proud to announce $6 million in funding for @HealthcaringKW and the @WoolwichCHC. This new funding will help connect almost 20,000 people to primary care across the region!

Starting today, we’re adding 2 new weekday express trips between Kitchener & Union Station, giving more options for faster @GOtransit service.    Since 2018, Ontario has doubled GO service on the Kitchener Line. We are continuing to expand public transit & keep Ontario moving.
