Our government is creating a new provincewide Primary Care Medical Record system that will ensure seamless care for patients and reduce paperwork for doctors. This means doctors can focus on what they do best - providing high-quality care, closer to home. 🔗: news.ontario.ca/en/release/100…

Ontario is proposing changes to open HOV lanes to more drivers during off-peak hours on provincial highways. This is part of our plan to protect Ontario by fighting gridlock and keeping drivers moving across the province. Learn more: news.ontario.ca/en/release/100…

A magical morning at the Aquatarium visiting the Mermaids with Ontario’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming Stan Cho and Brockville Mayor Matt Wren! Thank you to Thomas and Jen, and the Aquatarium board members for the tour and opportunity to see up close how funding from our government’s Experience Ontario program is supporting this incredible event. Great to see so many families visiting Brockville this week! 🧜‍♀️ 🦦

Thrilled to have Premier Doug Ford, Solicitor General Michael Kerzner, and Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement Stephen Crawford here today to deliver some exciting news about the new Brockville Correctional Complex and St. Lawrence Valley Correctional Treatment Centre. We’re adding 20 beds to the project to keep even more dangerous offenders off the streets. The RFQ to select the team to build the new complex has also been issued. Replacing the 184-year-old Brockville Jail is a priority project for me to ensure our outstanding correctional workers have the modern facility they deserve. I’m pleased that work to prepare the site has started. Thanks to Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley Mayor Brant Burrow and Matt Wren, Mayor of Brockville for joining today’s announcement. Stopped by yesterday to congratulate Joy Gautreau as Broadway Dance Academy enters its 36th year in business in Brockville. The Gautreau family at Broadway - which includes Ron, Kelli, and Robyn - have given generations of young dancers the opportunity to experience the thrill of competition, make lifelong friends, and build their self-confidence through dance. Here’s to another wonderful year of great memories - and more trophies! 🏆

Some exciting economic news for the Township of Rideau Lakes! Toured Arctic Acres in Portland with CEO Ben Canning where I announced on behalf of Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Victor Fedeli that Ontario is investing $665,533 through the Ontario Together Trade Fund. The funding will support Arctic Acres' investment of $3,327,667 to build a 30,000 square foot facility. The project will help this homegrown business develop new interprovincial markets. Founded in 2019, Arctic Acres specializes in precision-engineered geodesic structures and advanced building materials. Read more: steveclarkmpp.com/ontario-invest…

Proud to hold an outstanding discussion today during a roundtable with Ontario’s Minister of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness Trevor Jones and MPPs John Jordan & George Darouze. Can’t thank the representatives from local commodity groups, producers, farms, businesses, and organizations enough for their excellent presentations. Lots of great feedback for our hard-working minister about how we can continue to support this vital sector of our economy - and the heart of Leeds and Grenville’s rural communities. Sincere thanks Karen Bedard from Ontario Maple Syrup for hosting us at the Kemptville Agroforestry Centre! Make plans to visit them for the annual Maple Weekend event April 4-5. 🍁

Busy week with lots of great events - and a real highlight was seeing three generations of the Smith family at Smiths Farm Equipment in Jasper this afternoon! Thanks to Richard, Robert, and Chris for taking time from their busy day for a meeting organized by Associated Equipment Distributors. Appreciated the discussion and their insight on several items, including how our government can continue encouraging more young people to pursue a career in the trades and build on the successful programs at Kemptville Campus. Thank you to the hard-working team at Smiths for all you do to support the farming families in Leeds & Grenville and across Eastern Ontario. 🚜

Thank you to the local Ontario Maple Syrup producers for inviting me to this morning's Ceremonial First Tapping at Kemptville Campus. Great to have so many children out to take part and to include a traditional smudging by the North Grenville Indigenous Advisory Circle. Appropriately, the tapping was done by Earl Hicks, who was the first sugarmaker on Kemptville Campus when the sugarbush was first tapped in 1971. Wishing all of our maple producers in Leeds, Grenville and Lanark the best for a successful season. I encourage everyone to make a visit to a sugar shack this spring! 🍁
