Clarify Expectations and Hold People Accountable   Everyone on your team needs to have clear expectations of what success looks like in their role.    Don’t assume people know expectations and deadlines–take time to verify you are both on the same page. Your goal is to set them up for success when you follow up because you want to catch them doing well so you can recognize them for doing a good job.    ALSO, it’s more challenging to hold people accountable if you have first verified that expectations were clear.   And you have to hold people accountable if you are a leader. Nothing will crush your culture faster than having your all-stars realize they are getting treated the same as the people on your team who are consistently late and missing deadlines. Today I delivered my final public speech after decades of coaching and speaking. I’ve always believed I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth simply because I was born in this great country. That’s why my commitment to the American Dream has never wavered and never will. We must protect what makes America exceptional. We cannot let God down; we must always do what’s right. And I know @A1Policy will carry that fight forward with the strength and purpose our nation needs.

I said the samething at 31 when I hung em up because of kids. Keep trying to emphasize with the ones I coach. You have some control of when it's over! Work your tail off!

In my wildest dreams, I never thought they would do this to @WVUhoops. But again, as smart as these people are, it always comes down to who’s in the room with you deciding. It has always been that way.

All we hear is talk about the importance of QUAD 1 wins - UNC in Quad 1 tough games was 1-12 .Don’t you have to win a couple . @UNC_Basketball passes my eye test but I don’t want to hear the committee talk about how vital QUAD 1 wins are . Obviously not for all teams I feel @WVUhoops got a raw deal .
