I remember Negroes telling me to just learn Spanish, not understanding that the bilingual requirement disadvantages us in hiring. It’s structural. That’s the point.
We should never support barriers to entry for ourselves in the job market. Meaning we should never support anything that makes it harder for us to get a job. We should always seek out advantage.
The problem is too many of my people have been listening to this guy & the peanut gallery. In the #ADOS community, the microphone nearly always gets handed to the wrong person.

Young American woman who moved to Dallas is struggling to find a job in her profession simply because she isn’t bilingual. How does this make sense? I just posted a video of immigrants who aren’t required to speak English easily landing jobs in America, like working for Uber. As an American, you’re expected to know multiple languages to compete in the job market, yet for immigrants, that standard often doesn’t apply. Think about it.

I remember a friend from Northern Cali visited me in Atlanta. He was shocked to see Black people working at fast food and in grocery stores 😆.
He said in California if you're Black you either making good money or you're poor there is no in between.
