This is the last page of Lou Duva's book. This was a true 'boxing guy'. The last few pages where he detailed how the Duva family broke apart after his son's (Dan) death is sad. Main Events was never quite the same without him. But Lou Duva was truly one of a kind #boxing

Happy St. Joseph's Day. a day celebrating the patron Saint of both fathers and workers, the earthly father of Jesus, and the Saint known as "The Terror of Demons". In Italy, appropriately, today is Father's Day. Going to celebrate St. Joseph and my late Dad this morning with a double expresso and a zeppole filled with custard, aka a St. Joseph's Cake. The sooner DAZN realizes they basically are the market the sooner they can correct it. Big fights aren't going to just happen because everyone is on the same app. DAZN is going to have every metric available to them to see who, if anyone, actually moves the needle.

@iqnewz @SteveKim323 I dont get this. Gatti and Ward became great friends. Still had rematches and went to battle. Ryan won't fight him cause they besties, neither will Stevenson. We can't get the matchups to make boxing great cause they all hang out together. Smh.

Started on this one. Lou Duva was a fixture on my TV growing up. When I saw a boxer with him and George Benton, I knew that guy was probably going places. 'Captain' Lou was one of a kind, and when I first got in this business, interviewing him was a pretty big deal, can't lie..

If you're in NYC you should drink at Jimmy's Corner this year. It's the one place in Manhattan where beer is $3 and cocktails are $5 and the jukebox is full of Prince and Marvin Gaye and the decor doesn't make any sense and everyone is sad and quiet. It's the last crumbling hold

"Most promoters"?? How many promoters are really autonomous, self-supporting, and even left? The "most promoters" you are talking about, with the ratings orgs they paid, relied on, and manipulated, were the driving forces in effectively ending the existing #boxing paradigm, forcing most local/regional promoters out of the business and inviting the Sheik, Shapiro, Dana, and Nick Khan in to EAT THEIR LUNCH and make them cry, sue, and make silly videos. That is the truth that, like America and the #EpsteinFiles, the #boxing establishment doesn't want to hear. Did it to themselves/ourselves. I know because I was there. Viva baseball. #mma #UFC

The WBA, WBO, WBC and IBF collectively will cost fighters/promoters at least $20 million in 2026. Likely more. Nobody has a problem with this? The value in these titles is only what the industry gives them. It's a nuanced issue, but most promoters actually prefer it this way.🤷♂️
