I have been driving Teslas since 2016 and although I have encountered numerous idiosyncratic behaviors and even borderline dangerous events, I have never had the experience that these drivers are reporting.

The HMI (Human Machine Interface) is critical while developing safe automated driving. Here's some difficulty I have with my Tesla Model 3's HMI interface . What gear am I in? Forward/Reverse? The symbol appears briefly and then becomes quite small.

Tesla owners now have DIRECT access to their EDR data. It's a good start. EDR data and VPD data are not equal. VPD (Vehicle Performance Data) tells a more complete story with thousands more data fields. Data transparency is critical.
