All indigenous groups should be livid. They get to carry knives but our bows and axes were taken away. Our ability to have a hunting rifle attached to the rear window of our truck was taken away. We are limited to how we carry a Canada's flag on parliament hill.
Enough is enough, you came to Canada to get away from your oppressive systems. Leave those barbaric practices out of our country.

@lifewitsonduren Quality down, service down, not even Canadian owned.

@mrsunshinebaby How one celebrates is no concern to another. As long as it doesn't harm anyone else.

@Babywwir Only if all of the strong smelling food of their is as well. They can go sit on the other side of the cafeteria.

🇺🇸🇩🇪 A U.S citizen who contracted Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo has arrived in Germany for treatment.
The rare strain of the virus has already killed over 130 people in the latest outbreak, which the WHO warned may be spreading faster than originally thought.
They've declared it an international emergency, and cases have already spread to neighboring Uganda.

🇺🇸🇺🇬 Two CDC biocontainment jets departed Crete for Uganda this morning. Mission: extract an American Ebola patient and high-risk contacts from the DRC. Patient will go to Germany for treatment. The Gulfstream IIIs carry sealed isolation pods, the Aeromedical Biological Containment System, developed jointly by the CDC and Pentagon for exactly this scenario. Source: @sentdefender

@MarioNawfal Now would be a time to restrict travel from said outbreak locations

🇳🇱🇨🇩🇺🇸 While everyone is focused on the recent outbreak of hantavirus on a Dutch cruise ship, a new strain of Ebola is quietly spreading on multiple continents…
513 suspected cases. 131 dead. Spread across 9 health zones in the DRC and now confirmed in Uganda.
The strain, Bundibugyo, has no approved vaccine. No treatment. A kill rate of 25-50% in past outbreaks.
An American physician, Dr. Peter Stafford, tested positive this week. The U.S. is now restricting entry from affected areas.
The WHO has declared this a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, the highest alert designation under international health regulations.
It's unknown whether the current vaccine might offer partial protection against Bundibugyo.

@Sneakerz00420 @albertaseparate The first petition was partly supported by those that wanted to separate because of the wording of the question. It was a yes/no to stay. It's why the petition was never put forward to be a referendum question. The leader of it found out and canceled it.
English

@albertaseparate Separatists got smashed by the amount of support for remain Canadian initiative. You can have the idea of indigenous peoples having no any rights. But it’s wrong & ur dumber than most to think you have more rights with a measly minority. U have been coddled like children!
English

@albertaseparate Just because they refuse to participate doesn't mean the consultation didn't happen. Hold the consultation and if the chiefs don't show, they don't show. Talk to any that do show and treat them with respect and dignity. Film and record the event so it can be shown it happened.

@RiseOfAlberta Was born an Alberta citizen under this flag. I'd target due under this flag then see it changed. The only thing we're doing is removing to Canada flag with this one as our national flag.

@MarioNawfal Hey harder on crime, that's the only way to stop it.

🇺🇸 Harley Bike Week turned ugly in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, last night.
Multiple officers were injured breaking up brawls in the Main Street bar area, with at least one transported for medical treatment.
Thousands of riders flood this town every year for the event, and law enforcement always bulks up its presence to manage it.
But injuries to officers during crowd control raise a bigger question: is the current resource model actually enough for an event this size?
The city brings in serious tourism revenue from Bike Week.

@whyyoutouzhele Say what you want about the man, right there is a father. There is no reason, besides safety, why other men shouldn't do this as well.

It's actual safer for a truck to back up in those types of parking spots. It allows his long overhang of the rear end to not be sticking out where others might hit it. Also many industries require trucks to be parked as such for safety. Their reason so when unloading the rear of the truck you not in potential line of fire or other vehicles.
English

@MikePunko @akafaceUS What about the person who owns the truck? Or are people who back into parking spaces so proud of their ability to do it and so stuck in their ways that they can’t make any exceptions? Safety and vigilance is a two-way street.

@EshaAA33 I find it offensive to see halal meat. Guess you need to remove that as well.

🥓 Schools today have students from many different religions and cultures, so some people believe certain foods should be removed to avoid offending anyone.
Others think students should have the freedom to choose what they want to eat, while many feel respect and inclusion should come first.
What do you think schools should do?

English

@interesting_aIl Block all travel from these locations. Anyone that got it is automatically put on a no travel list.

@ShadowofEzra A virus you only get from playing with move feces and it's going to spread? How?

The World Health Organization is warning that hantavirus cases are expected to surge in the coming days and says people exposed to the virus could still develop symptoms much later on.
WHO officials are praising quarantine measures and increased monitoring efforts, while urging more people to isolate themselves immediately if they begin experiencing symptoms.
“People can still develop symptoms much later on.”
