@BobbyRotondo Hi Bobby. Hope you enjoy training camp. One of the rare things in sports -- free and close to the team.

Quick-hit thoughts/notes around the Patriots and NFL (rarity of a Saturday start for '26 training camp; Gillette will be buzzing as crowds sometimes top 10k; Drake Maye's perspective; Rhamondre Stevenson primed for big year?; Mike Onwenu's incentives etc.) espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…

For anybody curious, on Tuesday, doctors were able to take out the old hardware ( seen on X-ray & pictured below), rebreak the nearly healed bone at the fractured site (2nd image of X-ray), and straighten the bone/put new hardware in. All this took about 5hrs. Hoping this is the end of a rough chapter, I apologize to all I've hurt through my 5 hospital admissions, where I was given narcotics for the past 4-5 months of this brutal pain cycle that ended in surgery. Time to move ahead, hoping future pain issues aren't as bad as this one.

After a long tortuous 3 months of leg femur pain w/o cause, a fracture has finally appeared..this fracture was likely weeks in the makings, slowly getting worse with each step I took.

Welcome back GOES-19! Smoke plume has stayed a bit south of projections today and looks like that will remain the case. More upper/level haze than ground level health concerns

Interesting severe weather outlook for Tuesday...very rare to see such higher end predictions including a tornado risk in northern New England

For the first time ever, a level 3 risk has been issued tomorrow across much of northern and western Maine. This threat also extends into the northern portions of New Hampshire, Vermont and New York, who have not seen a risk this high since 2024. In tomorrow's unusual setup, storms will be driven by a retrograding shortwave trough digging southeastwards towards New England. Ahead of this trough, southwesterly flow in the low-levels will allow for a highly unstable airmass to develop, with moisture advection allowing for extreme instability. A cold front will approach during the afternoon, where wind shear will be anomalously high for this region. All of these parameters will trigger multiple clusters of thunderstorms that will grow upscale into one or more formidable linear clusters as they track south and east into the evening and overnight hours. Thanks to the thermodynamics and kinematics, significant severe wind gusts exceeding potentially 75 miles per hour are the primary threat, alongside large hail, some of which could locally exceed 2" in diameter. Soundings have also indicated that low-level curvature could support a tornado threat, including the potential for a strong (EF-2+) tornado within any surface-based supercells. If the environment does not get worked over with any activity during the day, the threat would likely extend into tomorrow night as well.

@DanKelley66 The Krafts need to distance themselves from Tom Brady. I know his past contracts with the team weren't the best. While there's plenty of blame to share within the Patriots organization, sometimes it's best to step back and recognize when you've doing well. Tom, give it a break!!

This video of #Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald talking about getting advice before playing the #Patriots in the Super Bowl certainly sounds like the advice came from Tom Brady. Only other option I could think of is Dianna Russini (no joke). Weird.

@PatriotsCLNS @GregABedard Greg, I respect your opinion; even professional scouts have mentioned it, so I’m not sure what the issue was with Gonzales. A pro athlete shouldn’t have thin skin, as that can label you as not tough.

@GregABedard @chrisgonzo28 Gonzo, I don’t believe Greg intended any offense with his comments. However, this situation stems from ownership; they should compensate you as the best player in your position on your team, ranking among the top five in the league.

@BeauMichael15 @CelticsForum0 One thing you’re forgetting is that Jayson Tatum is in his second year after major surgery. He played well when he returned, but he is still in recovery. Don’t expect him to play every game, especially considering that the two players they picked up are in their mid-30s.

@doggadaver @CelticsForum0 Do you really expect Tatum to play every game this year? He will miss some time. He’s in his second year after major surgery, and you’re relying on two players who are in their mid-30s or older. That’s unrealistic.

@BobbyRotondo @CelticsForum0 They were a 2 seed last year with no Tatum. This year you get Tatum with no Brown but you also hit PG and Mitchell. The team that will be on the court this year is superior to the one that was on the court last year.

Jaylen Brown on being traded: "They packed me up, bro. It's a crazy business... don't become a basketball player. There's no loyalty and there's no love." A brutally honest reaction. 💔

@PerSources This shouldn’t be too difficult for this organization. You have Tatum in his prime right now, so rebuilding down the road in 2- 3 years doesn’t make sense. We have to wait another year for tax purposes, but actions speak louder than words, the jury still out.

Here is something I don't think Boston Celtics governor Bill Chisholm understands. The Boston Celtics are further developing a negative reputation around the NBA. It started with Danny Ainge trading beloved star Paul Pierce. It really started with the way things went down with Isaiah Thomas. Jaylen Brown and Jayston Tatum were able to repair so much of it, but much of that work has been undone with how things went down with Jaylen Brown. Yes the NBA is a business and players are on under contract. However, the Celtics are lucky they haven't had to deal with a James Harden / Jimmy Butler type of star who will force their way out of the organization, leading you to a bad deal. This is a tough situation for the organization to be in and I'm nervous about it.

@celtics A dedicated Celtic season ticket holder have concerns about the current ownership's spending and their commitment to bringing a championship to Boston, rather than merely striving for competitiveness as suggested during the press conference. I hope I'm wrong, but I see red flags.
