What's something coming out in the next 10 to 15 years that will change humanity (forever) that not enough people are talking about?

What's the most cringe investing phrase you hear on tv? Something like "the easy money has been made" or "more buyers than sellers"? Writing a new piece for next week...

Pat McAfee and his new representation, Ari Emanuel, want to get McAfee's Hollywood career started with the vision of him becoming the “next Sylvester Stallone.” I see Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as a more apt comparison for Pat, and I believe this is a part of ESPN’s movement to make him the face of modern masculinity.

Vanguard recently published their shocking stock return projections. They predict US stocks to grow only at 3.9-5.9% per year over the next 10 years. Be cautious when using projections of growth over the next 10 years. It’s probably not 12%/yr...

@pitdesi @connorkapoor Personally, I only carry on, but most people know the hack that they bring their “carry-on” bag to the gate and when the agent asks volunteers to check bags because there’s no room on the plane their bag is checked for free but creates more chaos while people rush to save money

FWIW I don’t think they are the cause of that many issues, but also - Checked bags cost them a lot of money, probably $20+ per bag. Weigh it at check-in counter, handlers to load the carts, drivers to take it to the plane, and more handlers to pack the cargo hold. Reverse it. Plus they pay the airports fees for conveyor belt and baggage claim. So shifting more to checked would be bad. Carry ons cost relatively little in direct costs but to your point they slow down boarding/turn times which can be very expensive!

i think 9/10 problems with airline satisfaction could be resolved if they charged for carryons instead of checked bags.

Realized today we were being double charged by @onepeloton for the past 4 months ever since my wife reinstated her subscription. Their "customer care" said sorry they would only credit 2 of the 4 months. Guess that explains partially explains this chart...

@adamcarolla WTH?😅 Adam, I love you… but I was a waitress in my early twenties and I worked hard to provide excellent service to my customers. I got great tips back then and it helped me through Real Estate school. I love having good service when I go out to dinner,so I’m happy to tip good!

@money_cruncher Isn’t paying off a 4-7% loan the same as a guaranteed return of 4-7% so unless there’s a risk free investment that returns 4-7% isn’t it better to pay it off? It was hard for me to do so at first so I also did half before waking up

"Should I pay off debt or invest?" How I think about it: 1. sign up for 401k up to the match regardless of debt 2. pay off any debt 7%+ 3. don’t touch any loans with under 4% 4. 4-7% is tricky. Depends on liquidity, risk tolerance and timeline. Go 50/50 if you can't decide.

@AlexBerenson I totally disagree. I will take as much money as I can get at six or 7% put it in a very safe income fund like QQQI at 14% and be laughing all the way to the bank.

🚨 Supreme Court to Consider Whether Regular Weed Smokers Can Own Guns Are weed smokers allowed to own guns? The Supreme Court is set to decide.

The high court said on Monday that it will consider whether people who regularly smoke marijuana can legally own guns. The case stems from an incident where authorities charged a Texas man with a felony because he allegedly had a gun in his home and acknowledged being a regular pot user. The Justice Department appealed after a lower court largely struck down a law that bars people who use any illegal drugs from having guns.

Despite being in a pro-Second Amendment administration, the DOJ argues that banning weed smokers from owning firearms is valid because drug users pose a serious public safety risk. Justices will likely make a decision in 2026. apnews.com/article/suprem…
