there may be 4000 people running for office in the only major city in canada with no ward system and 10 political parties but at least the city of vancouver is doing a good job organizing and communicating debates and and forums across the city (they are doing no such thing)

@j_mcelroy In Chinatown this Saturday Mayoral debate on Sept 24, 10AM-12PM focused on Chinatown and our neighbours. We have @fabulavancouver as the moderator and have the too 5 Mayoral candidates confirmed to attend.  It will be held at SUCCESS Choi Hall, 28 West Pender Street.

Anyhow, if you're a Vancouver group organizing an event where candidates from most parties will be in attendance, let me know I've got plenty of well-organized options from pretty much every other municipality in the region. But shockingly little for Vancouver less than ideal!

@mmeenaakshii @LeeCommaMark @ForumAppliances I have spoken directly with @ForumAppliances and have agreed to work with them and other merchants to find opportunities on how the existing police presence can better engage. They like others in #chinatownYVR want to feel safe and we need to work on real solutions

@mmeenaakshii @LeeCommaMark @ForumAppliances They are one of the hallmark legacy businesses in #chinatownYVR and I support them going to Council to demand action. I want to continue to working with them and other merchants and VCMA
