The essays that students turn in are about to get a lot better 😬 I just tried Moonbeam (app.gomoonbeam.com) and it produced an outline & credible undergraduate essay with just the prompt “Legitimation and startups.” And that is without human intervention, which would help

This picture was taken yesterday mid-flight from DFW to San Diego. This was the lowest CO2 reading of the flight. It is the worst of any I have measured. About 15 people wearing masks - including the person next to me. (I think he is buying an Aranet4.)

Rules of thumb:
(1) Evaluate on order-of-magnitude basis.
(2) Identify trade-offs between impact categories.
(3) Iteratively refine.

Climate change isn’t just an environmental challenge, it’s an everything challenge. It’ll take hard work, but together we can solve it. Every job can be a climate job: STEM, labor, law, finance, policy, community, arts, health, construction, agriculture, industry, etc. Every job.

@mattyglesias My usual advice to early career people is to find what you’re good at and like doing, and then do that for climate. For some that’s technical, for some it’s not, but there’s no one best career path to move the needle.
