@Hull_Trains We came down on the 12:46 from Brough today and the train seemed to be very ‘bumpy’
English

⚠️ Due to a safety inspection of the track near Huntingdon, 19:04 #LondonKingsCross to #Beverley due 22:07 is being delayed between #Stevenage and #Peterborough and is now expected to be 31 minutes late.

@Sanny_Rudra Acun shouldn’t have come out publicly but his point is right. Lunnys on big money and all he’s bothered about is the reaction from the blades. He’d have a bit more credit in the bank if he justified his wage
English

@_RP_77 @spiritofshankly There’s no doubt and they are clearly wealthy but ST’s not attending price out fervent fans and push prices up on the exchanges. This is a worse problem than the price increases. Your council tax will have gone up by 4.9%, which is surely a Niger increase for less satisfaction?
English

@MikeThompsonMKT @spiritofshankly I dunno what the stats are for non-uk STs at Anfield, but it’s said that only 20% of them are registered to Liverpool postcodes, compared with about 80% of Everton’s.
7% of United’s are registered abroad, so imagine Liverpool is roughly the same, mostly Ireland & Scandi obvs.
English

@_RP_77 @spiritofshankly Not bothered about UTD. Fans can’t get access to games due to plenty of people like this. Why dis so many ST’s make their tickets available yesterday on the day of the game? Because they couldn’t make any money on the exhanges!! That’s why. They need to be gone before the debate
English

@MikeThompsonMKT @spiritofshankly 7 (seven) United season tickets are registered to addresses in Australia.
English

@_RP_77 @spiritofshankly There’s plenty of people on the ST list so your reply shows that certain ST holders think they are above others. Speaking to a chap who’s pal has a ST but lives in Australia. Is that right and how many are the like that? Thousands I imagine
English

@MikeThompsonMKT @spiritofshankly No. Take away the ST holders and the whole thing crashes in a hurry the minute it goes tits up on the pitch for a few weeks. Will those ST holders you fucked over return to take up the slack again? Back in the day probably yes, but not any more.
English

@originaltof So if someone doesn’t agree with you they are out of order? Everyone should be able to respect each others balanced views
English

@spiritofshankly Not the point. My non Tory daughter works at club. Club pay the living wage, at 25+ level for all staff. They are trying to make the Matchday experience great for all fans. ST waiting list still being used, would love to be on it but closeEverything has gone up. So should ST’s.
English

@spiritofshankly Packed Upper Annie and not much support for the protest. No one wants price rises but in all truth the majority understand why. Members who get a game a season are just delighted to get a ticket. Is there a sense of entitlement from ST holders?
English

@spiritofshankly @TheAnfieldWrap I would say over half the Upper Annie weren’t clapping.
English

Spontaneous applause when the ‘No To Ticket Price Increases’ flag was displayed in front of the Kop #YNWA
English

@spiritofshankly The percentage increase is pretty much less than all teams in all leagues. I think personally this is an own goal. If they did ticket prices on supply and demand they would be a lot higher so I think everyone needs to be careful what they wish for.

@druid_1987 @henrywinter TAA has played against Mbappe and Vini and won. So what’s your point?
English

@henrywinter Imagine the best players in the world like Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, Yamal etc running at Alexander-Arnold for 90 mins. I’d be a nervous wreck
English

England are not in the class of France, Argentina or Spain. But they do have some exceptional talent. Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane are world class. So is John Stones - at his best. Trent Alexander-Arnold is world class - in possession. Declan Rice is having the season of his life. There are more reasons to be positive going into this tournament than negative. But England have to be bold and play to their strengths.
Imagine if England were bold and, if all fit, went into the World Cup…
Pickford; Alexander-Arnold, Stones, Guehi, O’Reilly; Anderson, Rice; Saka, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane.
Stones would have some covering to do of Alexander-Arnold when he raced upfield. Bellingham gets heavily scrutinised but he’s a big-game player, a winner and used to pressure at Real Madrid. He has to start. England also have an exceptional head coach in Thomas Tuchel who can make the right changes at the right time. England have a chance of progressing to the quarter-finals of the World Cup and then anything’s possible. But only if they are bold. Not gung-ho. But bold. Risk/reward. #ENG

@hullcity_pfa I missed half time in the bloody garden. Were any teachers interviewed?
English

Nice to see a clip of South Hunsley girls during HT in the Manchester derby during a feature on Jess Park. Remember the schools cup final well at Port Vale @MikeThompsonMKT
English

@IanByrneMP Ian. The club have still to pay its staff and they pay the living wage dictated by government. Plus the fans want the most successful team and players and as you know, it’s not cheap!!
English

At a time when so many supporters are struggling to heat their homes, put food on the table and keep up with the rent, the club I love has made a shameful decision to hike ticket prices over the next three years.
It’s staggering. It’s tone deaf from the billionaires who run our club in Boston.
The very people who play a huge part of making this club what it is, the famous 12th man, the beating heart of Liverpool are being priced out and pushed aside, all while their loyalty is used to sell ‘Brand Liverpool’ across the world.
LIverpool Football Club stripped of its working class support base is where this ends.
This greed from football clubs poses an existential threat to the game and the community that made the club what it is today.
