@AllyFogg This is why Uefa and FIFA both show the offsides using computer graphics, whereas for some reason English TV wants these bullshit images broadcast, presumably for engagement.

@AllyFogg Yes, it’s because the image used to create the graphic is from a slightly elevated position (presumably mounted high on one of the stands) whereas the yellow line is showing a computer-generated line drawn at 90 degrees from the ground which auto corrects the camera angle.

For a final twist on the VAR nonsense yesterday, this is the overhead angle that supposedly shows Foden’s arse offside. Now can anyone tell me why the defensive line is drawn to the Villa player’s foot and not his T-shirt line?

@anyayoubadd @WayneSBarton Scholes & Butt are United fans, they aren’t against the club. Scholes is just a really boring studio guest, & Butt isn’t really serious. Some of their comments tell you they are t investing loads of time on details, and are just blagging it by speaking big picture.

@WayneSBarton But how did he manage to recruit Scholes, Neville, Butt in this fight, how did he turn them against the club. And the more I think of it, only thing that comes to mind is that their respect for him is greater than their love for this club.

My theory on Keane is that being sacked as he was and then ‘replaced’ by Carrick was hard to take; not only that, but Carrick now has the managerial role at United Keane was once tipped for and probably coveted. That rift with Fergie escalated post-retirement with Fergie’s second book and caused so much damage. Seemed so needless but it might explain why Keane’s position on this United seems to rough as opposed to how he was when Ole was in charge.

I’ll give my view. It’s absolutely ludicrous that a panel of former players and a PGMOL official can watch the replay and deem that this isn’t an own goal. Beyond ridiculous.
Tom Canton@TomCantonMedia

Understand that Patrick Dorgu's goal has been checked by the Goal Accreditation Panel and will stand, meaning Bruno Fernandes' 21 assists stand as the new record. Replays raised questions over whether it should have been an own goal after a rebound. football.london/arsenal-fc/new…

@michaelttfw There’s a very good reason why the famous song isn’t ’hard to believe he’s not Keane’ (even though that’s who he replaced). Getting Carrick gave us two cheat codes running the game from centre mid. And btw he never got stupidly sent off or banned from the biggest games either.

Roy Keane misquoted Bruno. The sentiment in what he was saying was right imo but he was wrong about that specifically. That said, the disrespect towards Keane on here in recent weeks has been poor. Keane did more for United in one night than Bruno ever has or ever will.

@Mac_Gooner Literally only got anywhere near 49 thanks to bent refereeing ffs. I’ll start with Graham Poll ignoring the penalty foul on Giggs at Highbury in a game that ended 1-1.

@FIFABrit Your obsessions is very sweet. Personally couldn’t care less about any of these daft records over recent seasons. VAR has distorted everything that wasn’t already fucked (by money & rule changes). PL is now a farce. Brilliant cross by Bruno, great header from Dorgu. 1-0.

Man U didn’t win anything this season, so it’s understandable that their fans are clinging desperately to Bruno’s assist record But it’s genuinely embarrassing how many of them think that: -AI chatbots constitute definitive proof -hitting the bar is a shot on target Just stop
Sam/FIFA Brit@FIFABrit

The Premier League must have piled a ton of pressure onto Opta to not change the Dorgu goal (that earned Bruno his 21st assist) to an own goal I am once again asking for more accountability from these stat keepers This is insane. It’s clearly an own goal

@joseph89592941 @Malachians @WealthHex They didn’t look fitter, they literally recovered from injuries quicker and so were available to train and to play more than would normally be the case for routine football injuries that affect every squad. Thats the crux of the blood doping issue.

@_RP_77 @Malachians @WealthHex Come on is utter nonsense. They look fitter than everyone else because you spend much less energy by letting the ball do all the movement while the other teams spend most of the game like dogs chasing a bone.

Pep Guardiola is a great but he is yet to win a European Cup with a team as a manager who aren’t being investigated for cheated. Forget about Fergie, Matt Busby dragged himself off his deathbed and won a European Cup 10 years after 8 of his players were killed, it took Abu Dhabi 15 years to win a European Cup due to highly probable financial doping.

I couldn’t care less about assist records and am honestly delighted Bruno won POTS over an Arsenal player but the original ‘off target’ shot clearly rebounds back towards the pitch and is then punched into goal by the GK. By any current or historical rule that’s an own goal
Anti@Unc1eAnt

Hi @premierleague this is clearly an own goal

It would be interesting to learn who was on that panel. Who are former players who think this ball is going in? And what other decisions are they also delegated to make? because this decision does not really make a difference, but if they are responsible for other things, they should not be anymore.

@joseph89592941 @Malachians @WealthHex On the face of it you have a point, Barca were a fine team. But dig a bit deeper & soon you’ll begin to see suspicious patterns that helped them - and not just refereeing calls but the fitness & availability of their key players - the doping, & the blood doctor …

@Malachians @WealthHex This is just nonsense. We saw the games they were far superior with their possession base style football. They dogwalk every team they played. If anything refs allowed the rivals to be way more physical or the games could easily have ended 90% possession for Barcelona.

@TelegraphDucker @StevenBartlett It's my opinion that our ex players live in genuine fear of having what they done at Manchester United being overshadowed, its the only reasonable explanation for the behavior. They are way more charitable when manchester united are bad.
