Also apparently a referendum in Paris on a similar program was rejected by 89% (!) of voters just last week

City Council this afternoon will hear from administration officials and the public about the city's electric scooter rental program. Pittsburghers for Public Transit is calling for council to end the program:

ALERT: Pittsburgh Police responded for reports of a possible active shooter at Pitt’s Hillman Library. Upon investigation, there is NO evidence of an active shooter and no victims. The building has been safely cleared. Students can return to retrieve their personal items.

Yellen & Powell said inflation was transitory so they could keep spending & pumping. When it blew up in their faces, the Fed jacked up rates so hard it collapsed a huge bank. Now they want to say it’s startups’ fault—you shouldn’t have kept your deposits there. Give me a break.

Why havent a bunch of rich people stepped in to sue the government to stop the bank bailouts? Surely if they're "harmed" by student loan forgiveness, then all of us are "harmed" by these criminals getting bailed out yet again?

@yinzertastic If giving to a neighbor means something they would otherwise throw out gets recycled then it is a win.

I think Buy Nothing groups are great but in areas like the east end, it can often feel like people giving free stuff to other people who could potentially afford that free stuff. I dropped off 2 boxes of diapers and some kids' clothing at a shelter and the staffer was like "WOW".
