Truth Social Post from POTUS: Israel, out of anger for what has taken place in the Middle East, has violently lashed out at a major facility known as South Pars Gas Field in Iran. A relatively small section of the whole has been hit. The United States knew nothing about this particular attack, and the country of Qatar was in no way, shape, or form, involved with it, nor did it have any idea that it was going to happen. Unfortunately, Iran did not know this, or any of the pertinent facts pertaining to the South Pars attack, and unjustifiably and unfairly attacked a portion of Qatar’s LNG Gas facility. #Qatar condemned Iran’s attack on Ras Laffan Industrial City, saying the strike caused fires that resulted in severe damage to the facility on Wednesday evening. In a statement, Qatar’s foreign ministry said it considered the attack “a dangerous escalation, a flagrant violation of its sovereignty, and a direct threat to its national security and the stability of the region”. The statement noted that while Qatar has distanced itself from the war since it began and has sought to avoid involvement in any escalation, Iran continues to target it and neighbouring countries “in an irresponsible approach”.

It is in our common interest to implement, without delay, a moratorium on strikes targeting civilian infrastructure, particularly energy and water supply facilities.
