Great idea, lets close all American NATO bases and get them home, see how much of a world power the US is without them.

So you can go a long way but there is a small area where you have to cross Spanish waters. Now will they do it? That is highly unlikely.

To go from Med to the Atlantic or vice versa you cross Spanish territorial waters so in principle what the original poster said could be done (besides UN conventions for free shipping)

@RWSverkeersinfo Lijkt me dat er daar een kleine uitvoegstrook/parkeerplaats moet worden gemaakt waar de vrachtwagen neergezet kan worden tot het rustiger wordt op de weg. Het hele verkeer platleggen voor een beroepsbestuurder die niet oplet is niet efficient.

Het wegleiden van een te hoge vrachtwagen gaat niet zonder slag(boom) of stoot. Helaas moet de Schipholtunnel (#A4) regelmatig dicht omdat een chauffeur de waarschuwingen heeft genegeerd. De afhandeling hiervan kost, vooral tijdens de drukke momenten, veel tijd.
