@JudgeBobOrr Gotta get a good culture fit. Hurley’s an asshole, Golden reads as a bit sleazy even if he’s truly innocent (but Carolina wouldn’t hire a guy with allegations anyways), and someone like Pitino would also be a no-go. Otzelberger, Lloyd, Stevens, Donovan are the first calls.

This is also young enough where some of these kids can look up his highlights and go “oh damn.” One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen was a few years ago. South Carolina players looked at some of Coach Staley’s college tape. And a lot of them said they knew their coach was nice, but they didn’t realize how nice she was.

@Mike_Modulator Many won't admit they wanted Dean gone for other reasons. The guy was a great HC and knocked on the door many times until James, Perk, MJ and crew delivered. Both titles still had big late mistakes by opponents. Today's sports climate would run K from Duke before any titles.

I said it would take 2 to 3 years before North Carolina is going to be a serious contender, regardless of who the next year coaches and I’m not lying. Next year’s coach is going to have a transitional period so that’s year one. Year two they’ll be a lot more competitive and probably have a chance to go deep deeper. Year three when the program will be full of that coaches recruits you’ll actually start to see the fingerprints. But of course you wouldn’t understand that because you’re slow.

UNC basketball will struggle because they are too worried about hiring someone who’s in the “UNC Family” Go get someone like Nate Oats, Mark Few, ect and yall right back on track. UNC is the biggest brand in college basketball. They can literally get anybody but Scheyer tbh

I’m lost brother. I have no idea that’s the crazy part. It’s not just about the coach. It’s about the NIL bag. Everybody is looking down the road in Durham, North Carolina is seeing what Duke is doing, but remember Duke collects all these big-time players and goes home without a national championship year after year. I won’t hold you, but I think that guy at High Point university would be a good choice.
