Vile accusers who premeditate false allegations for financial gain, to Enhance career, or get attention by going public/filing lawsuits…the Repercussions must be way more severe than what they currently are. Obvious to some, (and those who’ve lived it) accusers without verifiable proof should have a lengthier discovery process to potentially deter Negativity thrown at the accused. Investigate both sides privately & professionally while gathering real factual data & the all important Critical motives, maybe initiating a heads-up no-limit lie detector test with all involved as an interesting Additional deterrent. Lying is disincentivized with the above measures to prevent the one-sided storylines of guilty until proven Innocent, clickbait articles/videos, troll/burner accounts, social media comments, smear campaigns, Extortion attempts, curbing the plandemic that ruins lives, and then in turn not hurting the legitimate Damaging claims that are brought. The most remarkable thing about this case is that the Lodge, according to @ChadAHolloway (PokerNews), was allowed to “make an argument” to the grand jury. I wasn’t aware that this was even possible. Usually, it’s just the prosecutorial team that presents its side, which is why there’s an over 99% conviction rate. I’m not sure how they convinced a grand jury that charging/taking entry fees for tournaments isn’t an “economic benefit” but they did — so more power to them.

One Texas law source states that a raid by the TABC, such as the one that occurred at @LodgePokerClub, results in an indictment “over 99.9% of the time.” The authorities didn’t account for the fact that they were dealing with hardcore gamblers. @RounderLife It’s not cheating when you can beat 99.9% odds, but it is definitely cheating if you win 3/4 of your sessions in one of the best games in the country at the time, as the most experienced player in said game. Polk said I never lost a session originally n some still believe that🙄

@amit32883 A good idea n can also be hilarious simultaneously as well. Would shed more light on true winnings where all rebuys & add-ons are counted as they should be.. on top of every other manipulation they put together over months prior to make someone appear guilty for specific reasons.

Back in 2020, Mike Postle sued a bunch of us for defamation (incl. @ToddWitteles & @Angry_Polak). They filed anti-SLAPP motions; he later voluntarily dismissed the case. The court then awarded them ~$54K in attorney fees/costs. The hearing on that matter is well worth a watch:

i did a 3 hour sit down with @Joeingram1 . I grew up watching Joey's content so this was a cool milestone in my life/career. Joey felt that I catapulted onto the high stakes scene and the community knew very little about me / my background prior so he dives deep into all areas there and we chopped it up on a bunch of fun topics.
