Great presentation from Dr Robert Bird at NUMGE2023 (@ImperialCiveng) on modelling Cone Penetration Tests (CPTs) using the material point method as part of @EPSRC-funded project (EP/W000970/1). The model was validated using @UoD_Geotechnics centrifuge data.

Our first MPM-based anchor penetration simulation from our @EPSRC-funded project on protecting offshore wind power cables in collaboration with @UoD_Geotechnics and BGS. Things to fix but good progress. See here: wmcoombs.github.io/Cable-Burial/ to learn more about the project.
