The amount of shit some took by this fanbase for saying our core was the main issue, & not Lindy Ruff, was absolutely insane. Fast forward a couple of years ago & the #NJDevils are at the bottom of the standings, with the same core, while the #sabrehood are division champs!

As I wrote in the aftermath the Canucks kept the Devils in the loop the whole way. There was a good chance a trade between the two clubs was going to happen thst December weekend the Canucks visited the Devils. Ultimately it didn’t. As someone told me you make the money work later on you don’t pass on trading for a generational talent. #njdevils

@MrWhite1079 Jack Hughes injured himself again a month and play another mont with an arm brace while the Gm does Fuck all as usual for Fitzgerald when his team really need help... It's not on the coach at all... Remove Suzuki 2 months for the Habs and they are not in a playoffs position.

Need the “trade Nico” crowd to at least be realistic In a world where he is moved, they are not getting Dylan Larkin. They are not getting Robert Thomas. That’s not how these things work. Majority of the time, when you trade stars you get a bunch of picks and prospects. Which can be fun but like, best case scenario you dream that one of those players or picks eventually will be as good as Nico was for us. Which never happens. You almost never get what you should for these established stars. There are the rare examples where big name for big name trades happen, but these types of moves are extremely rare. If we’re gonna spew all this trade Nico BS let’s be realistic on what the return likely would be Trading Nico would almost assuredly make this team worse in the short term. Can’t imagine thinking this will bring us CLOSER to a cup. Grass ain’t always greener guys..
