@fosterian1971 Great bird - no sign of it in its usual spot so drove around and refound it about a mile away - nice celebration with @PaulHdigiman - muscles in a local cafe 😁

Talk of a Pine Grosbeak "invasion"...no evidence of this yet but a good excuse to show of some pics of the last twitchable bird in Britain back in 2013 on Shetland! Sure there would be more birders present if one was to be found on the mainland!

Just returned from a very successful trip to Sri Lanka with 35/35 Endemics seen - few below: Serendib owl, SL Blue Magpie & SL Spurfowl plus the non endemic but stunning Pied Thrush

Second visit today for the Hume’s Warbler at Marston Vale Millennium CP - always very active but calling frequently

After a call from @steveblain questioning the Id of the Scaup at Broom I quickly arrived and was met with this 1st for Bedfordshire - Lesser Scaup - after 2 hours finally clinched the Id with a nice view of the open wing

Dartford warbler Is 3rd record since 2005 in Herts prior to that it was the 1940's. I wonder if anyone has seen the last three. 2 for me
