With all that is happening in the Middle East and with Israel's involvement with the U.S in Iran, there has been a lot of questions about how Christians should view Israel. I just wrote a new article to answer questions... Hope it's a help! equippingdepot.org/how-should-chr…

@Protestia Good question... I don't know why they would be doing that. Doesn't seem to fit their theology on the role of women in ministry...

The Great Commission isn’t a suggestion—it’s a command.
Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel.” That means you and me, right where we are.
You don’t need a pulpit—just a willing heart.
Start with a prayer. Start with a conversation. Start with an invitation.
And here’s a perfect opportunity—
The Harvest Crusade is coming to Angel Stadium, July 19.
Someone you know needs Jesus. Who are you bringing?
Let’s not miss our moment.
Let’s take the Gospel to our world.

@SteveSchirmer That was so crazy! You're not going to have many experiences like that, fortunately... And yes, you did just hit a number of storms and it seemed like United did their best with what they had available...

I thought I would share my crazy journey this week from DFW to my home in SC.
Context: Driving between the two destinations is long but can be done in a day. Flying direct is about two hours and connecting via Houston is normally about a five hour journey. But, what did I experience this week?
- I dropped off my rental car at DFW on Wednesday at 130pm (Central). Now to the fun parts.
- First flight to Houston was delayed multiple times due to weather and the aircraft diverting to Oklahoma City. This caused me to miss my connecting flight in Houston even while still at DFW. Logically, United changed my itinerary so I stayed the night at a nearby DFW hotel and had dinner with my brother.
- Thursday, I returned to the DFW airport and the aircraft coming to DFW was delayed in Houston for mechanical reasons. I was scheduled on the first Houston to GSP flight so United naturally bumped me to the later GSP flight to ensure a somewhat smooth connection.
- My DFW to Houston plane finally arrived and we took off. Instead of arriving in Houston, we diverted to Lake Charles, LA due to weather conditions at IAH. We sat for a few hours on the tarmac and the captain used his own money to buy pizza for over 170 passengers and crew. Before taking off back to Houston, my GSP flight was canceled.
- Instead of United booking me on the next GSP flight on Friday (yesterday), they put me on a Washington Dulles flight Thursday evening. I tried to change it, but was unsuccessful. Naturally, that flight was late taking off because of all the weather that was taken place in Houston. All the airlines were playing catch up.
- I arrived at IAD after midnight, super early Friday morning and went to a hotel because I was booked on a later flight to GSP Friday afternoon.
- As you might wonder, my flight to GSP was delayed, ultimately about four hours. We finally boarded and proceeded to the runway to takeoff. We were almost at the runway when our pilots were told to park. He turned off the engines and told us our route was revoked and we had to sit and wait. At that point, I started wondering if I would make it to GSP that day or not. As a backup, I started exploring rental car options, and of course hotels.
- During our time parked, we were not alone. Many planes were parked, and we sat there for at least an hour. Thankfully, airspace opened up, a new route was given, and we were able to finally take off.
- With a ton of relief, the plane landed at GSP around 6 PM last night and I arrived home at 7 PM (Eastern).
To sum it up, it was the perfect storm, literally and metaphorically. I think that literal storm followed me everywhere I went over the past few days.
In the end, it only took me 53.5 hours to get from DFW to my home in SC. And I thought flights overseas were long.

What ingredients are essential for a church to be considered “trustworthy?”
How do we preserve the trust and goodwill our church has right now?
When we fail as a church, how can we respond in ways that repair rather than widen the breach of trust?
