This is insane… Pokemon card volume is going vertical right now. This is extremely bullish for NFTs… Same collectable niche. Better tech. No fakes. No shipping. When retail wakes up, the NFT market will explode overnight. Position accordingly.

@VinceQuill @Jeremybtc Premier use case was always price go up. No ones keeping 10's of k's locked up for an opportunity to buy physical merch. The music stopped.

You're right dude. I do think that is the premier use case for NFTs though, as memberships to clubs and stuff. You can also use them as real-world asset tokens that represent actual real-world assets, like collectibles or real estate. This would allow people to use the value locked in their collectibles as loan collateral, and would make traditionally illiquid asset classes electronically traded. Though the physical item in question, if it is a collectible or antique, would probably have to be sent to a Clearinghouse or an asset custodian for this type of thing to work.

NFTs are NOT coming back and here's why. I agree that the only people left here are the real ones, and yes they can unite to drive floor prices and build communities. But for those prices to mean anything, you need actual buyers, liquidity, demand. That doesn't happen without retail. And retail has zero appetite for NFTs because there's still no real use case for them. We saw this play out last cycle. The second dumb money dried up, everyone realized holding a JPEG just for the community wasn't worth it. Until someone figures out how to give NFTs actual utility, I don't see another JPEG run happening.
Bark@barkmeta

NFTs are about to run and here’s why. The only people left in crypto are real ones. Everyone else got filtered out. NFTs run on a combination of liquidity and community sentiment, but unlike coins, sentiment alone can drive a floor. Liquidity is secondary. It’s the opposite of how tokens work. A much needed change in Web3 honestly. Get enough real people together in a collection and they can send the floor wherever they want. This is not an exaggeration. Few understand and are positioned. Are you?

@PunkHot10 @waleswoosh 'Project' such a cringey term. People sold digital pictures into hype. And sold some physical merch. That's it.

@waleswoosh I agree, if you pick up a dead project now you're 3-5 years behind other projects, with almost zero of the easy money opportunities of the past. I'd rather start a fresh and clean one with no baggage and the right set up from the start

Not sure who needs to hear this, but acquiring old NFT projects is usually neither a good idea for the buyer nor bullish for holders. Cases where abandoned NFT projects are successfully "revived" are extremely rare. It also requires immense effort (financially, creatively and socially). Buying an NFT because of a random acquisition (or worse, acquisition rumors) won't age well

I'm embarrassed... This is Ethereum, a visualization of altcoins. Five years of nothing. Sideways. Zero bull market. But the reason I'm embarrassed is not because there was no bull move for altcoins. Everyone got that part wrong. I'm embarrassed because I think, in hindsight, this will play out to be the most insane opportunity crypto ever dealt to the regular person like you and I. And everyone is distracted pointing fingers who is right and wrong with every pump and dip. All the while, bears are barraging crypto bulls who recognize the macro opportunity and are trying to educate on it and position for it, while giving downside possibilities. On top of that, many of these same bears only recently changed their tone. The thing that is embarrassing is that it's so noisy and immature in here. This is a space where myself and others are working tirelessly to build, and we're attacked for it...just because we don't change our macro analysis with every change in wind direction. It's really not such a crazy thought to be bullish on crypto. Many institutions are, right now in this exact moment bullish on crypto (yes altcoins). Do your bear analysis, but please stop fueling the flames of negativity to serve your ego in the current downtrend. It's a great time to be in crypto!

@elliotrades If the entire crypto industry disappeared off the face of the earth, it wouldnt make a difference to 99% of people's lives. Those monetised to talk about it are an exception. The game & belief has gone. BTC is a government asset.

Would be epic to see alts rally The problem is that the meme coin cycle brutalized too many and the belief in alts will take time to come back The industry needs top coins to rip, like HYPE TAO LINK We need like mega runs 5-10X at minimum Then we can start seeing some life percolate into the rest of the altcoins For now the only reason Alts have stopped bleeding is that there's not really anyone left to sell, the only people holding are the diamond hands who will never sell
MikybullCrypto@MikybullCrypto

#Altcoins I love what I'm seeing at this alts chart Broken out of the 4-yr downtrend MACD strengthening momentum This shows you outperformance rally is about to hit altcoins.

Next year? Longer? No idea Beeple’s $69m sale was the big moment for NFTs in the past There will be another
