Most people in London on £25k to £40k don’t feel broke because of rent. It’s all the small stuff that adds up without you noticing. £4.50 coffees, £20 Deliveroo, random subscriptions. Then you check your bank and think how am I already this low. I used to do the same thing. I thought I just needed to earn more, but I didn’t. I just had no clue where my money was going. Once I started tracking it and fixing the basics, things actually changed. Nothing fancy, just being consistent with it. If you’re on a normal salary in London and feel stuck, you’ll probably relate. Friday night chipotle bowl after a great week on the cut Post grad life is crazy because my Friday nights now look like eating alone and in bed at 9pm. Life can get a little lonely at times but man one of the greatest things you can do for yourself is learn how to be ok being alone, and spending time for yourself alone with God. Do not bet against the S&P 500! I did a $1.7M real estate deal and put money in 16, 19, and 21. The deal went sideways due to Covid (hotels) and now my investment is worth like $2.1M. If I had just stuck it in the S&P 500 it would be worth more than $5M.

That comparison doesn’t really make sense when you think about it properly. Military spending isn’t funded by one group of people in one year like that. It’s spread across budgets, debt, and long time periods, not just 15000 taxpayers suddenly covering it. It sounds dramatic, but it’s just a misleading way to frame the numbers.

Iran has shot down 2 US planes today worth more than $150 million. In 2025 it took more than 15,000 middle-class people to pay $150 million in federal income taxes. The tax math ain’t mathing.
