Been a minute since I have been able to get to a tourney but happy to walk away with the 5-0 win at Southcon with Sylvaneth. Nice way to close out the edition. Shame Sylvaneth are only just now feeling pretty good at the end!

@SMcCowan3 How does the bell end up so tanky??

Just want everyone to know how broken the screaming bell is 6 goregruntas hitting over two combat phases doesn't on average kill a bell The first turn you go in with the mortals and all, you do 6 damage to the bell. 6 damage. 🤣🤣

@martin_paints This is the list I was running, Grand strat is the only thing I don't really like, It's doable but unreliable. General is ancient because opponents already want to kill Durthu so I split it up so it's not as bad if he dies.

@Mikey_AoS Was thinking about something similar. Who were you running as General and then which Grand Strat? Was thinking about Durthu w/ Warsinger, but then Spellcasting Savant is off the table.

Had a great game vs Gitz with sylvaneth using Belthanos. Went with an Oakenbrow list with all Treelords and a couple of Branchwychs. Feels really good to be able to move really fast as well as having your usual teleports. Durthu moving 14-20 inches is Amazing

@LoxyReid Yes, for example you can still strike and fade with sylvaneth If there is nothing left and you made a charge

In hindsight I'm a bit salty that slaves to Darkness got their 4+ rally removed (deservingly) before the book even released officially but now almost every book after got a 4+ rally and or some other kind of insane Regen 😑

@lhwaos Oh that's cool it makes them a lot more survivable. I am thinking about them in 3s in slaves just so I don't feel about them being hit first still does about 18-25 damage with a couple of self buffs

@Mikey_AoS I've been running them in a tzeentch list, so they can then get a 5++, and have been really liking them. They slap really hard, and are still 30 wounds so won't easily be lifted. Think they now have a role in STD too

I do wonder if Theridons are worth it yet? Average about 30 damage (with a +1 attack) for a unit of 6 for just 300 points now. Still rather slow and squishy but maybe cheap enough that you can justify it as a counter punch

@Celefaze I mean slaangors are a bit sad in comparison haha

@Mikey_AoS I need to bite the bullet and dip into coalition more.

I am having a great time playing khorne at the moment and it's really satisfying when a plan comes together but Jesus Christ its hard to play. Never played an army where sequencing and micro decisions make such a huge impact on your overall game.

@lhwaos I have only managed one game with her so far and she was ok. What are your initial thoughts having played her?

The answer was no, for what it's worth. I do think she has at least moved out of "bad" though.

Didn't play it amazingly but the Mobility of gitz and the fact that I didn't have a monster to threaten the shrine makes it a challenge especially on a spread out mission. Will absolutely try this list again I think it has really gas with a bit more practice and refinement

Rolled the 1 on LoV dryads first time because why wouldn't I, but because I was saving her 5+ ward till the last spell with primal dice she still got it off and had incredible value so she still felt good. Played on Limited resources, requires a lot of thinking and tracking, 2/3

Initial thoughts on first game of new ghb and new sylvaneth list. 6 kurnoth swords hit really hard and like them a lot for the points, 6 rev seekers with the 5+ ward are a great anvil, tanked a unit of 10 bounders and some hoppers down to 2 models then came back 5. 1/3
