Mars is ~311 million km away at present and China's TIANWEN-1 hefty signal is still audible. Based on the Doppler TW-1 is presently distant from Mars in it's highly elliptical orbit of the planet.

@MilcomMP Hit me up for a side bar on that article Larry. (Please and thanks). The Airspy R2 is king of Iridium decoding and satdump has changed the Inmarsat STDC decode game and is making inroads to L-Band ACARS once the sole domain of Jaero.

Off-the-shelf software and an Airspy Mini let Geoff capture this 260.125 d/l from geostationary orbit. You don't need a lot of radio to hear satellites these days. Congrads to Geoff and Prog at Airspy, Well done. #Airspy

This is an interesting intercept by Geoff. But what makes it even more so is that he was using an Airspy Mini and a VHF/UHF yagi. You don't need a lot of radio to hear satellites these days. Congrads to Geoff and Prog at Airspy, Well done. #Airspy

Thought to be KOSMOS 2496 sat with steady falling doppler on 389.300 MHz and falling. Also transmits on 290.950 with parallel signal. 1726z Armagh, N Ireland.
