@Janeajnet @ehega1804 Of course. Their value isn’t questioned. It was doctors talking about themselves also. How people perceive them. And how they feel. It was an interview study not questionnaire.

@Mildredkehoe @ehega1804 This is the stereotypes teams have of doctors?Were the same questionnaires sent out about other MDT members?No?My first assessment that this is divisive sticks. Most categories are negative and continue the doctor dump on. They save your loved one’s lives at 3am for £16ph.

@DrLKVaughan @gmcuk @HullYorkMed …people don’t fully understand qual studies… those Qs were definitely drawn out. Interview schedules are a guide…. GMC have pulled out parts they wish to focus on, maybe those thought most interesting…doesn’t mean the research only focused on PA. There is a lot of rich data.

@Mildredkehoe @gmcuk @HullYorkMed It's nice that you want to defend your colleagues. But this is a deeply flawed study. They have drawn conclusions about the integration of PAs into medical teams based on 5 PA interviews. The doctors were not asked opinions about PAs at all (not in the interview schedule). 1/

Today we’ve published new research into teamworking from @HullYorkMed. The research explores barriers and enablers of good teamworking.
